Michigan St. The Area Plan Commission stated the signs need review by the <br />Design Review Committee and possibly the Historic Preservation Commission. The Building <br />Department requires a 9," cable attached to the outer edge and mid outer faces, and fastened to <br />the building to counteract wind shear at that location. The encroachment shall remainin the right <br />of way until the time as the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend shall determine <br />_- that such encroachment is in any way impairing or interfering with the highway or with the free <br />and same flow of traffic. Upon a motion made by Mr. Relos, seconded by Ms. Maradik and <br />carried, the Revocable Permit was approved. <br />UNFAVORABLE RECOMMENDATIONS - PETITION TO VACATE THE NORTH/SOUTH <br />ALLEY EAST OF 2801 CALVERT STREET <br />Mr. Gilot indicated that Christopher and Peggy Tomkiewicz, 2801 West Calvert St., South Bend, <br />Indiana, have submitted a request to vacate the above referenced alley. Mr. Gilot advised the <br />Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Fire <br />
