REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 16, 1986 Mr. Leszczynski stated that as part of the Bowman Creek repair project, research indicated that the County owned property in that area and as the City desired to secure that property in order that it can be controlled and maintained the County has conveyed said property to the City. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Deed, as submitted, was accepted and approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE ALLEY IN CONJUNCTION WITH I U S B LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION In a letter to the Board, Mr. David D. Towner, Carl J. Reinke & Sons, Inc., P.O. Box 3095, South Bend, Indiana, advised that Reinke & Sons is excavating for the foundation wall of the I.U.S.B. Library at the corner of Greenlawn and Hildreth Streets. Because of the required depth, the excavation is very close to the north/south alley at the west property line just south of Hildreth Street. In the interest of safety, they requested permission to close the north/south alley for a period of time, that depending on the weather, could be for a period of two (2) to four (4) months. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed this request and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the following eight (8) traffic control devices were approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Locke at Iowa. ("T" intersection). NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Locke at Ryer. ("T" Intersection). 3. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On St. Johns Way at Ryer. ("T" Intersection). NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Chimes at Solomon. ("T" Intersection). 5. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Roberts at Mishawaka. ("T" Intersection). 6. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Roberts at Northside. ("T" Intersection). 7. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Yukon at Portage. ("T" Intersection). 8. NEW INSTALLATION, RESIDENTIAL PARKING - Extension of 36', from South property line of 836 N. Main. (Requested by: Memorial Health Properties, Inc.). APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the following one (1) handicapped parking permit application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of a permit: 1.
