REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 21, 1986 <br />Order in the amount of $124,309.00. Additionally submitted was <br />the Project Completion Affidavit indicating this new final cost. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, Change Order No. 1 (Final) and the Project <br />Completion Affidavit were approved and the appropriate three-year <br />Maintenance Bond as submitted was filed. <br />REQUEST OF BETHEL COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TO CONDUCT 5K RUN - <br />NOVEMBER 1, 1986, REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mrs. Margaret Wilson, Director of <br />Alumni Relations, Bethel College Alumni Association, 1001 West <br />McKinley Avenue, Mishawaka, Indiana, requested permission to <br />conduct a 5K Run as part of the 1986 Bethel Homecoming activities <br />on Saturday, November 1, 1986 beginning at 11:00 a.m. The route <br />proposed for the event is as follows: <br />Leave Bethel campus east on LaSalle through College Park and <br />onto Lowell Street west to cross Logan Street to Washington <br />Street. After a circle through Bercliff Estates, runners <br />would return by way of Washington Street east to again cross <br />Logan and circle back to Bethel campus. <br />Mrs. Wilson noted that since Logan Street is the dividing line <br />between South Bend and Mishawaka, she has submitted this same <br />request to both cities to get permission for the runners to cross <br />Logan Street. Mrs. Wilson further stated that Bethel College is <br />a non-profit organization and the run is strictly for the <br />enjoyment of the students and alumni and is not a money -making <br />activity. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the necessary <br />departments for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTYDEMOCRATIC CENTRAL COMMITTEE <br />TO UTILIZE PUBLIC BUILDINGS FOR VOTING -PURPOSES FOR GENERAL <br />ELECTION DAY (NOVEMBER 4 1986) <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the utilization of the following public buildings <br />for voting purposes on General Election Day, November 4, 1986 was <br />approved: <br />#2 Fire Station <br />#3 Fire Station <br />#5 Fire Station <br />#6 Fire Station <br />#7 Fire Station <br />#9 Fire Station <br />#10 Fire Station <br />Potawatomi Greenhouse <br />Pinhook Pavilion <br />110 E. Marion <br />1805 McKinley Avenue <br />2221 Prairie Avenue <br />4302 Western Avenue <br />1616 Portage Avenue <br />2520 Mishawaka Avenue <br />308 West Ireland Road <br />2105 Mishawaka Avenue <br />2801 Riverside Drive <br />FILING OF MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENT LICENSE APPLICATION AND SETTING <br />OF PUBLIC HEARING DATE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Ms. E. Erika Mays, President of <br />L'Image Classique, 517 East Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, <br />Indiana, has submitted a Massage Establishment License <br />application. Pursuant to ordinance requirements, a Public <br />Hearing regarding this application must be conducted. Therefore, <br />upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the above application was accepted for filing and a <br />Public Hearing date of November 3, 1986 was set. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of forty-four (44) properties cleaned from October 13, 1986 <br />
