Parmerlee, Clerk
Board of Public Works
AWARD BID - ONE (1) 1987 TYPE I MODULAR AMBULANCE FOR SOUTH BEND
FIRE DEPARTMENT
In a letter to the Board, Fire Chief Luther Taylor, advised that
the Department has reviewed the five (5) bids opened on August
19, 1986, for the above referred to ambulance. He stated that
the bids ranged in price from $46,345.00 to $51,904.00 and
included options and a trade allowance. He further stated that
it is his opinion that the low trade allowance of $2,900.00 makes
it unfeasible to accept the trade allowance. He recommended,
therefore, that the Board award the lowest bid of St. Ives, Inc.,
828 Warehouse Road #7, Toledo, Ohio, in the amount of $46,345.00
to furnish an ambulance per specifications manufactured by First
Response, Inc. of Ellenwood, Georgia. The price, not including a
trade but including rustproofing and a trailer hitch, totals
$46,345.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard,
seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the recommendation was
accepted and the bid awarded.
AWARD BID - L.W.W.
