<br />APPROVE BLOCK PARTY REQUEST - DEVON CIRCLE
<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Andrea Jones, 1608 Devon Circle,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, requested that Devon Circle be closed on
<br />Sunday, September 7, 1986, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. for a
<br />neighborhood block party. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the
<br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting has reviewed this request and
<br />recommends approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance,
<br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above request was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVE REQUEST OF PRO HEALTH TO CONDUCT 6TH ANNUAL SPORTSMED 10K
<br />ROAD RACE, 1 MILE FUN RUN AND 4K WALK - OCTOBER 5, 1986
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting,
<br />Police Department Traffic Division and Park Department have
<br />reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted to the
<br />Board on August 5, 1986, and recommend approval. Therefore, upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and
<br />carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request
<br />approved.

<br />HOOL BAND MAR(
<br />-A-THON - OCTOBE
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Tom DeShone, Band Director, Riley
<br />High School, 405 East Ewing Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, advised
<br />that the Riley High School Marching Band has again been asked to
<br />perform for the Electric Light Disney World Parade during its
<br />spring break in 1987. To cover the expenses of taking the band
<br />to Florida, a fundraising March-a-Thon is planned for October 4,
<br />1986 at 9:00 a.m. Approximately one hundred fifteen (115)
<br />individuals will participate in the march utilizing a route
<br />submitted with the request as follows:
<br />Starting at Riley High School, proceed south on Erskine
<br />to Donmoyer, west on Donmoyer to Fellows, south on
<br />Fellows to Widner, east on Widner to York, north on York
<br />to Byron, east on Byron to Springbrook, north on
<br />Springbrook to Ridgedale, west on Ridgedale to York,
<br />north on York to Altgeld, west on Altgeld to Fellows,
<br />north on Fellows to Riley High School.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and
<br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic
<br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for
<br />review and recommendation.
<br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license application
<br />has been received:

<br />ADDRESS: P.O. Box 965, Green Bay, Wis.
<br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: 4401 South Michigan Street
<br />DATES: September 5, 6,7, 1986
<br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Selling frozen pre -packaged seafood
<br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations
<br />have been received from the Police Department, Department of Code
<br />Enforcement, and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the above
<br />application. Additionally provided with the application was a
<br />letter of permission from the property owner. Upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above
<br />license application was approved and referred to the Deputy
<br />Controller's office for issuance of a license.
