195 <br />REGULAR MEETING JUNE 10. 1986 <br />amount of six thousand dollars ($6,000.00) for the account of <br />Jack Hickey Associates, Inc. The Letter of Credit is given to <br />warrant the guarantee and completion of construction of the <br />streets and lighting in the subdivision of Somers Square, South <br />Bend, Indiana. The Letter of Credit applies only to the streets <br />of Stonehedge, Bayswater, Farmsworth, St. Michaels Court, <br />Hampstead Court. <br />Additionally, Portage Realty Corporation, South Bend, Indiana, <br />has submitted Irrevocable Letter of Credit No. 400 issued by <br />Valley American Bank in the amount of twenty-seven thousand <br />dollars ($27,000.00). The Letter of Credit is given to warrant <br />and guarantee the completion of construction of water and sewer <br />installation located in Georgetown, Unit Two, Part III, situated <br />in St. Joseph County. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above referred to Irrevocable Letters of Credit were <br />accepted and approved. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS AND SIGN <br />TITLE SHEETS: <br />- STEEL CONSTRUCTION PACKAGE (COVELESKI REGIONAL STADIUM <br />PROJECT) <br />- DUGDALE SEWER PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Neil Shanahan, Manager, Bureau <br />of Public Construction, has requested that the Board advertise <br />for the receipt of bids and sign the appropriate Title Sheets for <br />the above referred to projects. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the requests to <br />advertise were approved and the appropriate Title Sheets were <br />signed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - CAR WASHES <br />FOR CITY VEHICLES <br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Charles T. Hurley <br />requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for <br />car washes for city vehicles for the period August 1, 1986 <br />through July 31, 1987. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE ETHNIC FESTIVAL BOOTH APPLICATIONS <br />Ms. Mikki Dobski, Director, Office of Community Affairs, <br />submitted to the Board for approval the following Ethnic Festival <br />booth applications: <br />FOOD BOOTHS <br />El Campito, Inc. <br />Shirley Sells <br />Giacomo Puzzello <br />Mrs. Garrard Smith <br />Youth Service Bureau <br />CRAFT BOOTHS <br />Christopher Monzeau <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the applications as submitted were approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO LOCATE SHOWMOBILE ON PUBLIC SIDEWALK FOR <br />ETHNIC FESTIVAL PARADE <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Ms. Mikki Dobski, Director, Office <br />of Community Affairs, requested permission to locate a showmobile <br />on the public sidewalk in front•of the County -City building in <br />conjunction with the ethnic festival parade to be held on July 5, <br />
