1 3 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 29, 1986 ISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - CAST IN P CONCRETE PROJECT (COVELESKI STADIUM) In a letter to the Board, Neil Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of Public Construction requested that the Board advertise for receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. the Leszczynski stated that the City is proceeding with this project on behalf of Security Pacific Bank as their agents. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above request was approved. UEST OF CHRIST TEMPLE CHURCH OF NGREGATION WALK" - JUNE 28_, 198 ADDENDUM I SOUTH BEND HERITAGE FOUNDATION WEST WASHINGTON COMMERCIAL LOAN ACTIVITY Addendum I indicates the funds for the West Washington Commercial Loan activity and the Chapin Street Commercial Loan activity are combined. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above referred to Contracts and Addenda were approved and executed. APPROVE RE( GOD IN CHRIST TO CONDUCT REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Mr. Ervin Baker, Administrative Coordinator, 816 East Wayne Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the Christ Temple Church of God in Christ currently located at 1523 West Washington Street has recently purchased a new church at 1212-1214 South Michigan Street. In order to give the attention this move deserves, they are requesting permission to conduct a "Congregation Walk" from the old location on West Washington Street to the new location on South Michigan Street a distance of approximately 2.3 miles. The walk will be held on June 28, 1986, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with approximately one hundred (100) individuals participating. The following route will be utilized: From 1523 West Washington proceed east on Washington to Main street walking on the south side of the street; south on Main Street to Stull walking on the east side of the street; east on Stull (one block) to the Church walking in the middle of the street. Mr. Baker noted that there will be members of the congregation following along the route in their automobiles. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, this request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. REQUEST OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY MEMORIAL DAY SOCIETY TO HAVE STREETS CLOSED IN CONJUNCTION WITH MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITIES - MAY 26, 1986 REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Ms. Virginia Hanson, President, St. Joseph County Memorial Day Society, 19459 Orchard Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested that Washington Street between Main and Lafayette Boulevard, be closed for approximately one (1) hour on Monday, May 26, 1986 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Memorial Day activities to be conducted in front of the Sailors and Soldiers Monument on the Courthouse lawn. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. 1
