1 3 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 29, 1986 <br />ISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - CAST IN P <br />CONCRETE PROJECT (COVELESKI STADIUM) <br />In a letter to the Board, Neil Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of <br />Public Construction requested that the Board advertise for <br />receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. <br />the <br />Leszczynski stated that the City is proceeding with this project <br />on behalf of Security Pacific Bank as their agents. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the above request was approved. <br />UEST OF CHRIST TEMPLE CHURCH OF <br />NGREGATION WALK" - JUNE 28_, 198 <br />ADDENDUM I <br />SOUTH BEND HERITAGE FOUNDATION <br />WEST WASHINGTON COMMERCIAL LOAN ACTIVITY <br />Addendum I indicates the funds for the West Washington <br />Commercial Loan activity and the Chapin Street Commercial <br />Loan activity are combined. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the above referred to Contracts and Addenda were <br />approved and executed. <br />APPROVE RE( <br />GOD IN CHRIST TO CONDUCT <br />REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Ervin Baker, Administrative <br />Coordinator, 816 East Wayne Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised <br />that the Christ Temple Church of God in Christ currently located <br />at 1523 West Washington Street has recently purchased a new <br />church at 1212-1214 South Michigan Street. In order to give the <br />attention this move deserves, they are requesting permission to <br />conduct a "Congregation Walk" from the old location on West <br />Washington Street to the new location on South Michigan Street a <br />distance of approximately 2.3 miles. The walk will be held on <br />June 28, 1986, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with approximately one <br />hundred (100) individuals participating. The following route <br />will be utilized: <br />From 1523 West Washington proceed east on Washington to Main <br />street walking on the south side of the street; south on Main <br />Street to Stull walking on the east side of the street; east <br />on Stull (one block) to the Church walking in the middle of <br />the street. <br />Mr. Baker noted that there will be members of the congregation <br />following along the route in their automobiles. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, this request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for <br />review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY MEMORIAL DAY SOCIETY TO HAVE STREETS <br />CLOSED IN CONJUNCTION WITH MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITIES - MAY 26, 1986 <br />REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Virginia Hanson, President, St. <br />Joseph County Memorial Day Society, 19459 Orchard Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, requested that Washington Street between Main and <br />Lafayette Boulevard, be closed for approximately one (1) hour on <br />Monday, May 26, 1986 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in conjunction with <br />the Memorial Day activities to be conducted in front of the <br />Sailors and Soldiers Monument on the Courthouse lawn. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for <br />review and recommendation. <br />1 <br />
