Upon a motion <br />made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the <br />Contract was approved and the appropriate Insurance, Performance <br />Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were <br />filed. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND - MAPLE LANE <br />ASSOCIATES, PHASE VIII <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, Director, Division <br />of Engineering, requested that the Board accept a Performance and <br />Payment Bond in the amount of $84,000.00 on behalf of Maple Lane <br />Associates for completion of Public Improvements in connection <br />with Maple Lane Fours, Phase IV, Section Three. Mr. Pluta <br />additionally submitted as Exhibit A an itemized estimate that was <br />submitted by Palm & Associates and finalized by the Department of <br />Engineering in conjunction with this project. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the <br />Performance and Payment Bond, with exhibit was approved. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENTS FOR USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT RACES <br />AND SIMILAR EVENTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to Resolution No. 9-1985, <br />establishing policies and fees for foot races and similar events, <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works on March 4,1985, sponsors of <br />the following events have fulfilled resolution requirements and <br />Agreements are being presented to the Board at this time: <br />CROP Walk for Hunger <br />April <br />13, <br />1986 <br />March of Dimes "WalkAmerica" <br />April <br />26, <br />1986 <br />It was noted that sponsors of the above referred to events have <br />provided the required proof of payment to volunteer groups <br />assisting with the event as well as the appropriate Certificates <br />of Insurance. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, Agreements with the above referred to sponsors as <br />submitted were approved and executed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - COVELESKI <br />REGIONAL STADIUM EXCAVATION PROJECT <br />In a letter to the Board, Neil A. Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of <br />Public Construction, requested that the Board advertise for the <br />receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the <br />above request was approved. <br />UEST TO A <br />JECT (VAR <br />ERTISE FOR RI <br />US STREETS <br />'PT OF BIDS - STREET CRACK <br />CITY OF SOU' <br />BEND) <br />In a letter to the Board, John E. Leszczynski, Director, <br />Department of Public Works, requested that the Board advertise <br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above request was approved. <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING DATE AND APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE <br />RECEIPT OF BIDS - CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER ALONG RIVERSIDE <br />DRIVE AND RIVERSIDE PLACE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to the requests of the <br />Common Council Utilities Committee to proceed on this matter, he <br />suggested that the Board set a Public Hearing date of April 22, <br />
