115 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 8, 1986 1986, for the Board's Public Hearing regarding the above referred to project. Additionally, he requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the construction of the sanitary sewer. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, a Public Hearing date of April 22, 1986 was set and the request to advertise for bids approved. APPROVE TITLE SHEET - COVELESKI REGIONAL STADIUM EXCAVATION PROJECT Mr. Leszczynski advised that the title sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above referred to title sheet was approved and signed. REQUEST TO CONDUCT HANDS ACROSS AMERICA IN SOUTH BEND - MAY 25 1986 REFERRED In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Denielle Baldwin, Events Coordinator, Office of Community Affairs, advised that Sunday, May 25, 1986 is the date set for Hands Across America, an event which is sponsored to take a stand against hunger and homelessness in America, during which six (6) million Americans will join hands from New York to Los Angeles at 2:00 p.m., South Bend time. The brochure submitted with the request indicates that all proceeds from Hands Across America will be distributed as a project of the USA for Africa Foundation. She is therefore requesting permission to hold this event which will utilize the following route: Lincolnway East and Ironwood westward on Lincolnway East to Monroe Street to Lafayette Street to Western Avenue to Mayflower. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by.Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police Department Traffic Division and the Legal Department for review and recommendation. REQUEST TO CONDUCT 8TH ANNUAL ST. ADALBERT/CORVILLA RUN - JULY 13, 1986 REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Mr. Christopher Borkowski, Chairman, on behalf of St. Adalbert/Corvilla Run, 2420 West Huron Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct the 8th Annual St. Adalbert/Corvilla Run to be held on Sunday, July 13, 1986 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and completed by 8:00 p.m. The five (5) mile race will utilize the following route: Begin at St. Adalbert Church on Olive Street at Huron Street; thence South on Olive to Sample (West); thence West on Sample to Ford Street; thence North and East on Ford to Kosciusko; thence north on Kosciusko to Huron; thence West on Huron to Olive Street to the Church to finish. The one (1) mile race will utilize the following route: Begin at St. Adalbert Church on Olive Street at Huron Street; thence south on Olive to Ford; thence East on Ford to Kosciusko; then North on Kosciusko to Huron; thence West on Huron to Olive to finish at the Church. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police Department Traffic Division, and Legal Department for review and recommendation.
