115 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 8, 1986 <br />1986, for the Board's Public Hearing regarding the above referred <br />to project. Additionally, he requested that the Board advertise <br />for the receipt of bids for the construction of the sanitary <br />sewer. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, a Public Hearing date of April 22, 1986 was set and <br />the request to advertise for bids approved. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - COVELESKI REGIONAL STADIUM EXCAVATION <br />PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the title sheet for the above <br />referred to project was being presented at this time for <br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Vance and carried, the above referred to title sheet was <br />approved and signed. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT HANDS ACROSS AMERICA IN SOUTH BEND - MAY 25 <br />1986 REFERRED <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Denielle Baldwin, Events <br />Coordinator, Office of Community Affairs, advised that Sunday, <br />May 25, 1986 is the date set for Hands Across America, an event <br />which is sponsored to take a stand against hunger and <br />homelessness in America, during which six (6) million Americans <br />will join hands from New York to Los Angeles at 2:00 p.m., South <br />Bend time. The brochure submitted with the request indicates <br />that all proceeds from Hands Across America will be distributed <br />as a project of the USA for Africa Foundation. She is therefore <br />requesting permission to hold this event which will utilize the <br />following route: <br />Lincolnway East and Ironwood westward <br />on Lincolnway East to Monroe Street <br />to Lafayette Street to Western Avenue <br />to Mayflower. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by.Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting, Police Department Traffic Division and the Legal <br />Department for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT 8TH ANNUAL ST. ADALBERT/CORVILLA RUN - JULY <br />13, 1986 REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Christopher Borkowski, Chairman, <br />on behalf of St. Adalbert/Corvilla Run, 2420 West Huron Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct the 8th <br />Annual St. Adalbert/Corvilla Run to be held on Sunday, July 13, <br />1986 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and completed by 8:00 p.m. The five <br />(5) mile race will utilize the following route: <br />Begin at St. Adalbert Church on Olive Street at Huron Street; <br />thence South on Olive to Sample (West); thence West on Sample <br />to Ford Street; thence North and East on Ford to Kosciusko; <br />thence north on Kosciusko to Huron; thence West on Huron to <br />Olive Street to the Church to finish. <br />The one (1) mile race will utilize the following route: <br />Begin at St. Adalbert Church on Olive Street at Huron <br />Street; thence south on Olive to Ford; thence East on Ford <br />to Kosciusko; then North on Kosciusko to Huron; thence West <br />on Huron to Olive to finish at the Church. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting, Police Department Traffic Division, and Legal <br />Department for review and recommendation. <br />
