y 4, REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 21, 1986 Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the Clerk was instructed to forward to the Common Council a favorable recommendation on the above referred to alley vacation subject to any and all utility easements. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 1-1986 - SCRAP/JUNK/RECYCLING DEALER LICENSE RENEWALS FOR 1986 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board has received seventeen (17) renewal license applications for area scrap/junk and recycling dealers for 1986. Ms. Barnard advised that inspections of the operations were conducted by the Department of Code Enforcement and Fire Department Prevention Bureau and all applicants are in compliance with licensing requirements. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, Resolution No. 1-1986 recommending Common Council approval of the license renewals for the following scrap/junk/recycling dealers was adopted and the Clerk was instructed to prepare the necessary Common Council resolution for final action by the Common Council. Resolution No. 1-1986 is as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 1-1986 WHEREAS, license renewal applications for scrap/junk/and recycling dealers for the year 1986 have been received by the Board of Public Works; and WHEREAS, inspections of the properties have been completed by the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau as required by Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau have found that such premises are fit and proper for the maintenance and operation of such a business; and WHEREAS, Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code requires approval of a Resolution of the Board of Public Works recommending the renewal of the license applications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the license renewal applications for the following scrap/junk/and recycling dealers be recommended favorably based upon the satisfactory review of the properties by the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau: A-1 Auto Parts Herbert Alpern-Max Schneider Co.
