Parmerlee, Clerk <br />Mr. Leszczynski complimented the staff of the Department of Code <br />Enforcement for their assistance in inspecting the above referred <br />to yards in a timely manner in order that violations could be <br />promptly corrected and the above Resolution could recommend <br />license renewals for all the scrap/junk/recycling dealers that <br />applied for a renewal license. <br />APPROVE AUTHORIZATION TO HAVE BOARD PRESIDENT EXECUTE RESOLUTION <br />OF PUBLIC UNIT FOR INVESTMENT IN REPURCHASE AGREEMENTS <br />Mr. Michael L. Vance, Director, Administration and Finance, <br />submitted to the Board a Resolution of Public Unit for Investment <br />in Repurchase Agreements as submitted to him by the Standard <br />Federal Bank, Savings/Financial Services, 2401 West Big Beaver <br />Road, Troy, Michigan. He stated that the Resolution enables him <br />to invest in repurchase agreements for the City of South Bend. <br />He further advised that this would be part of the standard <br />investment practice and normally will be handled by wire <br />transfer. The Resolution indicates that Michael L. Vance, <br />Director, Administration & Finance, Carol Sanders, Chief Deputy <br />Controller and David Sypniewski, City Auditor, are authorized <br />representatives on behalf of the City of South Bend to establish <br />repurchase agreements, to request repayment of or to transfer <br />funds from such repurchase agreements and generally to transact <br />any and all business with respect thereto. <br />Mr. Vance further advised that the City of South Bend, in the <br />past, has received quotes from Standard Federal and at their <br />request the above referred to Resolution indicating the persons <br />authorized to make investments, is being submitted for approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, Board President John E. Leszczynski, was authorized to <br />execute the Resolution of Public Unit for Investment in <br />Repurchase Agreements as submitted by Standard Federal Bank. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2-1986 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLE <br />(POLICE DEPARTMENT) <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following Resolution No. 2-1986 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2-1986 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works that the following vehicle is no longer needed by the <br />Police Department of the City of South Bend: <br />Veh.
