REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 27, 1987 <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits and establishes pro- <br />cedure for disposal of personal property which is unfit for the <br />purpose for which it was intended which is no longer needed by <br />the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend that the vehicles and equipment listed <br />above are not fit for the purpose for which they were intended <br />and are of minimal value. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said vehicles and equipment be <br />disposed of and removed from the City Inventory. <br />ADOPTED this 27th day of October, 1987. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John E. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF POLICE DEPARTMENT TO DISPOSE OF NINE (9) <br />VEHICLES AND TWENTY (20) LIGHT BARS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to the adoption of <br />Resolution No. 32-1987, declaring eleven (11) Police Department <br />vehicles and twenty (20) light bars obsolete and no longer needed <br />for the purpose for which they were intended, Police Chief <br />Charles T. Hurley requested that the Board dispose of said <br />vehicles and light bars through a public auction. It should be <br />noted that nine (9) of the eleven (11) vehicles declared obsolete <br />will be auctioned with the remaining two (2) vehicles to be <br />utilized for spare parts by the Department. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CENTRAL COMMITTEE <br />TO USE PUBLIC BUILDINGS FOR VOTING PURPOSES <br />Mr. Kenneth P. Fedder, Chairman, St. Joseph County Democratic <br />Central Committee, P.O. Ms. Krol stated that she is <br />in <br />as <br />requesting the designated space for her parents who live at that <br />address and have difficulty walking any distance and because the <br />
