�7 REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 15, 1987 the Sinai Synagogue, located at 1102 East LaSalle Avenue on September 23, 24, & 25, 1987 and October 2 & 3, 1987 as High Holy Days will be celebrated at the synagogue during this time. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. APPROVE PICK-UP/DROP-OFF SPACE IN FRONT OF 307 SOUTH MAIN STREET (INDIANA BELL TELEPHONE) - SEPTEMBER 17. 1987 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on September 8, 1987 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE PARKING ON WEST MADISON STREET AND NORTH LAFAYETTE BOULEVARD FOR HOLY DAY SERVICES FOR TEMPLE BETH-EL - SEPTEMBER 23-24 AND OCTOBER 2-3, 1987 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on September 8, 1987 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - AUGUST Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, advised that she continues to work with the Humane Society to develop a more comprehensive report which will indicate what types of services are being provided pursuant to the Humane Society Contract for animal control services. Mrs. DeClercq stated that she and Assistant City Attorney Marva J. Leonard -Dent have devised a simplified form which was submitted to the Humane Society but they have not yet received a response. Mrs. DeClercq stated that she is hopeful that the October monthly report will more clearly reflect the services provided pursuant to the Contract. She sited that in the instance of animals counted in the South Bend category, residents who live in South Bend and take an animal to the shelter are counted as being served. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, IN, Inc. monthly report of animals handled for the month of August was accepted and filed. APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Contractor's Bond for DuJardin Enterprises be approved retroactive to September 11, 1987. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above Contractor's Bond was approved. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of seventy-seven (77) properties cleaned from September 7, 1987 thru September 11, 1987, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the report as submitted was filed.
