REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 15, 1987 <br />easements, including water, storm sewer and sanitary sewer <br />easements, located in, on, or under the vacated portions of High <br />Street and Bowen Street, which were previously vacated by the <br />City of South Bend. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the turn -around Easement/Agreement was approved. <br />Additionally, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq and carried, the Release of Water and Sewer Easement was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENTS COVERING CONSTRUCTION OF HIGHWAY -RAILWAY GRADE <br />CROSSING <br />- 1400 S. OLIVE STREET <br />- 1600 S. TWYCKENHAM) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. R.E. Wheeler, Area Engineer, <br />Division of Local Assistance, Indiana Department of Highways, 100 <br />North Senate Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, submitted to the <br />Board for approval Agreements Covering Construction of <br />Highway -Railway Grade Crossing for the construction of a rubber <br />pad crossing surface at the above referred to locations. Mr. <br />Leszczynski further advised that federal funds will pay for <br />ninety per cent (90%) of the cost of this work with the City <br />responsible for ten per cent (10%). Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above <br />Agreements were approved and executed. <br />FILING OF TAXICAB RATES - ALLIED CAB COMPANY <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Walter E. Jones, Allied Cab <br />Company, 1608 North Sheridan Street, South Bend, Indiana, has <br />submitted to the Board for filing the following rate schedule for <br />the Allied Cab Company: <br />$ 2.00 flag drop <br />$ 1.20 per mile <br />$15.00 per hour waiting time <br />$4.00 minimum charge in town & Roseland <br />Airport - Bus - Train Rates: <br />Meter + $1.00 per additional person in same party <br />going to same destination. <br />$5.00 minimum charge to and from airport/bus and train. <br />(Separate charges for separate parties sharing same cab). <br />Small Package Delivery Rates: <br />$ 2.00 flag drop <br />$ 1.00 per mile <br />$15.00 per hour waiting time <br />Notre Dame Football Rates: <br />To/from airport/bus and train $ 5.00 per person <br />$12.00 minimum <br />Other locations (within 3 mile radius of Notre Dame) <br />$ 4.00 per person <br />$10.00 minimum <br />Mr. Leszczynski reminded Board members that the Board does not <br />have the authority to approve or disapprove of these rates, but <br />pursuant to municipal code requirements, merely accepts the rates <br />for filing. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq and carried, the above rates as submitted were accepted <br />for filing. <br />UEST OF SINAI SYNAGOGUE TO REMOVE PARKING RESTRICTIO <br />INITY OF THE SYNAGOGUE FOR HIGH HOLY DAYS SERVICES - <br />23-25, 1987 AND OCTOBER 2-3, 1987 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, I.
