REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 15, 1987 easements, including water, storm sewer and sanitary sewer easements, located in, on, or under the vacated portions of High Street and Bowen Street, which were previously vacated by the City of South Bend. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the turn -around Easement/Agreement was approved. Additionally, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Release of Water and Sewer Easement was approved. APPROVE AGREEMENTS COVERING CONSTRUCTION OF HIGHWAY -RAILWAY GRADE CROSSING - 1400 S. OLIVE STREET - 1600 S. TWYCKENHAM) Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. R.E. Wheeler, Area Engineer, Division of Local Assistance, Indiana Department of Highways, 100 North Senate Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, submitted to the Board for approval Agreements Covering Construction of Highway -Railway Grade Crossing for the construction of a rubber pad crossing surface at the above referred to locations. Mr. Leszczynski further advised that federal funds will pay for ninety per cent (90%) of the cost of this work with the City responsible for ten per cent (10%). Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above Agreements were approved and executed. FILING OF TAXICAB RATES - ALLIED CAB COMPANY Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Walter E. Jones, Allied Cab Company, 1608 North Sheridan Street, South Bend, Indiana, has submitted to the Board for filing the following rate schedule for the Allied Cab Company: $ 2.00 flag drop $ 1.20 per mile $15.00 per hour waiting time $4.00 minimum charge in town & Roseland Airport - Bus - Train Rates: Meter + $1.00 per additional person in same party going to same destination. $5.00 minimum charge to and from airport/bus and train. (Separate charges for separate parties sharing same cab). Small Package Delivery Rates: $ 2.00 flag drop $ 1.00 per mile $15.00 per hour waiting time Notre Dame Football Rates: To/from airport/bus and train $ 5.00 per person $12.00 minimum Other locations (within 3 mile radius of Notre Dame) $ 4.00 per person $10.00 minimum Mr. Leszczynski reminded Board members that the Board does not have the authority to approve or disapprove of these rates, but pursuant to municipal code requirements, merely accepts the rates for filing. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above rates as submitted were accepted for filing.
