REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 24, 1987 <br />she recently has had major heart surgery and is unable to carry <br />items a long distance, she would appreciate the parking space in <br />front of her residence being designated as a handicapped parking <br />space. Mrs. Herzer advised that she does have a handicapped <br />permit. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE BLOCK PARTY REQUESTS: <br />- 1300-1400 BLOCK E. MONROE (8/29/87) <br />- GEORGIAN DRIVE BETWEEN YORK AND CAPE COD LANE (8/29/87) <br />- 900 BLOCK 36TH STREET(9/5/87) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to block party requests submitted to the Board on <br />August 11, 1987, and recommend approval. <br />It was noted that the request submitted to the Board on August <br />18, 1987, by Ms. Sharon Konopka, 1346 East Monroe Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, to conduct a block party on East Monroe Street <br />between Twyckenham and Sunnyside on August 29, 1987, is a <br />duplicate request and is the same as the request submitted to the <br />Board on August 11, 1987 by Mr. F. Richard Pruess, 1429 East <br />Monroe Street and recommended for approval today. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. <br />Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation to approve the above <br />referred to street closings for block parties was accepted and <br />the requests approved. <br />APPROVE RE( <br />OF P.N.A. #83 CLUB TO CONDUCT_"WHAMMA JAM FOR <br />M_.D.A." - SEPTEMBER 6-7 1987 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the <br />bureaus have reviewed the above <br />the Board on August 11, 1987, to <br />solicitations on September 6-7, <br />recommended. NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING - 300 N. St. Louis <br />Blvd., East side. (Traffic congestion on St. <br />Louis due to hospital construction. No parking <br />requested by hospital and residence). <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that <br />Contractors and Excavation Bonds for the following be approved: <br />
