�01 <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 7, 1987 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16-1987 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, has compiled a current detailed inventory of all <br />real property owned by the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it finds that certain of the <br />parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South Bend are <br />not necessary to the public use and are not set aside by State <br />and City laws for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works finds that each of the <br />properties described below has an assessed valuation of less <br />than $2,000.00, that the cost of maintaining that parcel equals <br />or exceeds the estimated fair market value of the property, and <br />that the highest and best use of the parcel is sale to an <br />abutting landowner. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the <br />necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in the <br />future, to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to State <br />Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That the parcels of real estate owned by <br />the City contained in the following list <br />are not necessary to the public use, are <br />not set aside by State or City laws for <br />public purposes, that the cost of maintain- <br />ing each parcel equals or exceeds the <br />estimated fair market value of the parcels <br />and the highest and best use of each parcel <br />is sale to an abutting landowner: <br />ADDRESS: DEED NO. <br />304 S. JOSEPH COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE (POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT) <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following Resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 17-1987 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works that the following Police Department equipment is no <br />longer suitable for the purpose for which it was intended and no <br />longer needed by the City of South Bend: <br />1. Mechanical 641 - White 1985 Dodge, Serial <br />Number 1B3BG2640FX626921, mileage 74,542. <br />2. Mechanical 644 - White 1985 Dodge, Serial <br />Number 1B3BG2642FX626919, mileage 80,455; and <br />
