REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 19, 1987 <br />Mr. Davey and Mr. Dunbar advised that Erskine Plaza Associates is <br />the owner of property adjacent to and abutting the subject real <br />estate and Cressy and Everett Commercial Company, Inc. is the <br />developer of the property for Erskine Plaza Associates. They <br />further advised that said property is located in an area roughly <br />bordered by Ireland, Miami and Bowen Streets, and is currently a <br />part of a retention basin. Mr. Davey and Mr. Dunbar also stated <br />that the assessed value of the entire 4.82 acre retention basin <br />is $2,410.00 and the parcel of property which is the subject of <br />this request consists of 1.14 acres, with a corresponding <br />assessed value of $570.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the request was referred to the necessary City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - REMODELING <br />OF THE COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH ROOM AT THE CENTRAL POLICE STATION <br />Mr. John E. Leszczynski, Director, Public Works, requested that <br />the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the remodeling of <br />the Computer Aided Dispatch Room at the Central Police Station. <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that this project entails installation of <br />an air conditioning system, removal of walls, and other <br />miscellaneous remodeling. He additionally stated that the <br />engineer's estimate for this project is approximately $60,000.00 <br />and the project completion date is July 31, 1987. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE <br />00 BLOCK OF WEST LISTON FOR AUSTIN <br />FAMILY REUNION - JULY 25, 1987 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on May 5, 1987 and recommend approval. Upon a motion <br />made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />ST TO CLOSE <br />APPROVE REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 219 <br />EAST MARION STREET <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department <br />Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request <br />submitted to the Board on May 5, 1987 by Ms. Charlotte N. <br />Wentland, and recommend approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the recommendation <br />was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - 200 BLOCK <br />E. ECKMAN <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Sherri Miller, 209 East Eckman <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the residents of the <br />200 block of East Eckman Street would like to close Eckman Street <br />from Carroll to St. Joseph Street on Sunday, May 24, 1987 from <br />11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for a block party. Mr. Leszczynski <br />advised that this request has been reviewed by the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />and they recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by <br />Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT ETHNIC <br />- JUNE 30-JULY 5. 1987 <br />IVAL AND RELATED ACTIVITIES <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Police Department Traffic Division and City Attorney's office <br />have reviewed the request submitted to the Board on April 14, <br />1987 to conduct the following Ethnic Festival and related <br />activities and recommend approval: <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
