Lombardy & Western <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the necessary City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - DALE STREET - <br />REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Candy Howell, 921 East Eckman, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to close Dale Street <br />from Eckman to Irvington on July 4, 1987, from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 <br />p.m. for the annual neighborhood block party. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the <br />request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and <br />the Police Department Traffic Division for review and <br />recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 304 SOUTH TAYLOR <br />STREET - REFERRED <br />Mr. David C. Dorsett, 520 West Wayne Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />advised that he is the owner -occupant of the old Coquillard Home <br />which he is currently restoring and which is adjacent to the <br />City -owned property at 304 South Taylor Street. Mr. Dorsett <br />stated that the lot at 304 South Taylor Street was originally the <br />backyard of his house and he presently has no yard at all. He <br />would, therefore, like to purchase the City -owned lot at 304 <br />South Taylor Street. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the request was referred <br />to various City departments and bureaus in order that a <br />determination can be made whether the City need retain the lot <br />for any purpose. <br />REOUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT BOWEN STREET - <br />REFERRED <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Christopher Davey, Managing <br />Partner, Erskine Plaza Associates and Mr. Robert E. Dunbar, Jr., <br />Development Director, Cressy and Everett Commercial Company, <br />Inc., have requested that the City offer for sale the following <br />described property: <br />A parcel of land being a part of the Southeast Quarter <br />of Section 25, Township 37 North, Range 2 East, City of <br />South Bend, Centre Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />and being more particularly described as follows: <br />Commencing at a point on the East line of said Southeast <br />Quarter, a distance of 556.45 feet South 0-00'-00" East <br />of the Northeast corner of said Quarter Section; thence <br />South 88-38'-Ol" West, along the South line of a parcel <br />of land conveyed to the Civil City of South Bend, a <br />distance of 450.22 feet to the place of beginning for <br />this description; thence continuing South 88-38'01" <br />West, along said South line, a distance of 359.38 feet <br />to the Southwest corner of said City property; thence <br />North 0-00'00" West, along the West line of said City <br />property and parallel with said East line of the <br />Southeast Quarter, a distance of 155.00 feet; thence <br />North 88-38'01" East, parallel with said South line <br />of said City property, a distance of 260.00 feet; thence <br />South 39-00'-51" East, a distance of 157.83 feet; thence <br />South 0-00'00" West, parallel with said East line of the <br />Southeast Quarter, a distance of 30.00 feet to the place <br />of beginning containing 1.14 acres more or less. <br />
