33 1 REGULAR MEETING MAY 5, 1987 Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski, and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE UEST OF ST. STEPHEN'S PARISH FOR STREET CLOSURE IN WITH PARISH SUMMER FESTIVAL - JULY 25-16, 1987 Mr. Michael P. Meeks-, Director, Division of Engineering has advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on April 28, 1987 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE REQUEST OF AMERICAN LEGION POST #357 TO CONDUCT POPPY DAYS - MAY 15-16, 1987 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed this request submitted to the Board on April 28, 1987 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE REQUEST OF ST. JOE VALLEY KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TO CONDUCT SIDEWALK SOLICITATIONS - MAY 7-9, 1987 The above referred to request, submitted to the Board on April 28, 1987, for consideration, was reviewed by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division and recommended for approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT THE 12TH ANNUAL WORLD'S LARGEST GARAGE SALE AT THE COLFAX PARKING GARAGE - JUNE 13, 1987 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the necessary City departments have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on March 17, 1987 and recommend approval. It was noted that the use of the landscaped lot South of the parking garage has been approved by Dr. and Mrs. Feferman and the appropriate Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement has been prepared. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE REQUEST OF LYKOWSKI CONSTRUCTION, INC. TO MOVE HOUSE FROM 1501 PERTHWAY TO ST. JOSEPH COUNTY Mr. Jack Mathews, Building Commissioner, has advised that Mr. Timothy J. Lykowsi, President, Lykowski Construction, Inc., 21707 West Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, has requested a permit to relocate a house from 1501 Perthway, South Bend, to St. Joseph County. Mr. Mathews stated that the utility companies have been contacted and their requirements have been satisfied. Additionally, the route to be utilized for this move has been reviewed and approved by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Further, the appropriate Certificate of Insurance is in order and on file. Mr. Mathews therefore recommended approval of this request. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved.
