131 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 5. 1987 <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT RACES <br />AND SIMILAR EVENTS - SUNBURST MARATHON - JUNE 6, 1987 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to Resolution No. 9-1985, <br />establishing policies and fees for foot races and similar events, <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works on March 4, 1985, the South <br />Bend Tribune has fulfilled resolution requirements to conduct the <br />Sunburst Marathon and 10K Road Race on June 6, 1987. Therefore, <br />the appropriate Agreement is being presented to the Board at this <br />time. <br />It was noted that on December 9, 1986 the Board of Public Works <br />approved the date for these events subject to the sponsor meeting <br />all Resolution requirements. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the Agreement as submitted was approved and <br />executed. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF EASEMENTS: <br />- SEWAGE AND DRAINAGE FOR THE VACATED PORTION OF MAPLEWOOD <br />- SEWAGE AND DRAINAGE FOR THE VACATED PORTION OF COLUMBIA STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that a Release of Easement for sewage and <br />drainage for the vacated portion of Columbia Street within the <br />parcel of land described as Columbia Street running south from <br />the south right-of-way of Bronson Street for a distance of 371 <br />feet more or less has been submitted for approval. <br />Additionally, a Release of Easement for sewage and drainage for <br />the vacated portion of Maplewood Street within the parcel of land <br />described as a portion of Maplewood Street beginning at the south <br />right-of-way line of Progress Drive and the east right-of-way <br />line of Maplewood Street, south 345 feet to the southwest corner <br />of Lot 27 in Post Place Addition, thence west 50 feet; thence <br />north 345 feet; thence east 50 feet to the place of beginning has <br />been submitted for approval. <br />Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar advised that these documents were <br />previously approved by the Board in 1984 but could not be <br />recorded at that time due to the fact that the County Recorder's <br />Office would not accept them for recording as they did not <br />include reference to the original documents. Therefore, new <br />Releases have been prepared and are being submitted for Board <br />execution at this time. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />and carried, the above referenced Release of Easements were <br />approved. <br />APPROVE PLATS OF DEDICATION - KENSINGTON FARMS EAST - SECTION 3-- <br />PART 8 & 9 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Division of Engineering has <br />submitted Plats of Dedication for Kensington Farms East, Section <br />3, Part 8 which includes Aberdeen Drive and Farnsworth Drive and <br />Section 3, Part 9 which includes Aberdeen Drive and Stonehedge <br />Lane. The Division of Engineering further advised that public <br />improvements are under construction and are the responsibility of <br />Jack Hickey & Associates. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Plats were accepted <br />and approved. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEETS: <br />- FARMINGTON SQUARE - UNIT 11 <br />- STONEHEDGE SUBDIVISION - SECTION 1 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Title Sheets for the above referred <br />to projects were being presented at this time for execution. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the above referred to Title Sheets were approved and <br />signed. <br />
