Teske - Vehicle No. 8 $ 26.00 11 20.00 12 43.00 15 19.00 TOTAL: $108.00 GRAND TOTAL: $223.00 OPENING AND AWARD OF BID - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 410 EAST SOUTH STREET It was noted that at the Board meeting on April 28, 1987, it was determined that the opening of the two (2) bids received for the purchase of the above referred to property would take place this date. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the best use of the property at 410 East South Street would be to sell to the adjacent property owner. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion and it carried. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the property at 410 East South Street has been appraised at $350.00. The following bids were received and opened: 1. Calvert Properties BID: $200.00 c/o 710 J.M.S. Building South Bend, Indiana 2. Ms. Sandra P. Kieffer BID: $375.00 Kieffer and Zimpelman Partnership 17700 Woodthrush South Bend, Indiana Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the Board accept the high bid of Kieffer and Zimpelman Partnership in the amount of $375.00. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion and it carried and the matter referred to the City Attorney's office for the drafting of the appropriate Purchase Agreement. roiice uniet unarles T. Hurley advised that the Department has reviewed the bids received on April 28, 1987, for the above referred to vehicles. He would like to recommend, at this time, that the award be made to Gates Chevrolet Corporation, 401 South Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, at the unit price of $10,186.55 per vehicle or $61,119.30 for six (6) 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity four -door sedan vehicles. He noted that these vehicles will be equipped as specified. Chief Hurley further advised that Gates Chevrolet was selected as the low bidder without trade-ins. Additionally, Chief Hurley requested that the Board authorize the installation of an AM -radio in each unit at the cost of $46.00 per unit for a total of $276.00 for the six (6) units. The listing of an AM -radio as desired equipment was inadvertently omitted from the bid specifications. It was noted that Gates Chevrolet did, however, bid the installation of the radio at $46.00 per unit. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the bid awarded including installation of an AM -radio in each of the six (6) units purchased. 1 1 I.
