F WE <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 24, 1987 <br />Senate Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, has submitted Agreements <br />for the above referred to project which entails the installation <br />of a rubber pad at -grade crossing surface and required signal <br />work at the above referred to location. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the Agreement as submitted was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENTS FOR USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT RACES <br />AND SIMILAR EVENTS - 17TH ANNUAL MARCH OF DIMES WALKAMERICA <br />(4/25/87) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to Resolution No. 9-1985, <br />establishing policies and fees for foot races and similar events, <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works on March 4, 1985, the <br />Northern Indiana Chapter of the March of Dimes Birth Defects <br />Foundation, sponsors of the 17th Annual WalkAmerica to be held on <br />April 25, 1987, has fulfilled resolution requirements and the <br />appropriate Agreement is being presented to the Board at this <br />time. It was noted that on March 27, 1987, the Board of Public <br />Works approved the request to conduct this event. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT NO. 455 - JACK <br />HICKEY ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />Ms. Lori A. Baker, Credit Administrator, Valley American Bank, <br />P.O. Box 328, South Bend, Indiana, stated that the bank opens <br />Irrevocable Letter of Credit No. 455 in the City's favor <br />available by drafts drawn on Valley American Bank and Trust <br />Company at sight up to an aggregate amount of $30,000.00 for the <br />account of Jack Hickey Associates, Inc. This Letter of Credit is <br />given to warrant the guarantee and completion and construction of <br />curbs, walks, streets and lighting for public, improvements in <br />Section III, Part 9 & 10 of Kensington Farms. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, <br />Irrevocable Letter of Credit No. 455 was accepted and approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF VFW TO CONDUCT LOYALTY DAY PARADE - MAY 2, <br />1987 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the various City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on February 10, 1987 and recommend approval. It was <br />noted that the route submitted with the original request has been <br />modified and is as follows: <br />Ewing - Fellow to Miami; <br />Miami - Ewing to Dayton <br />It was noted that there will be "NO Parking" allowed along the <br />parade route from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved <br />subject to insurance requirements being resolved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF SISTERS OF ST. JOSEPH OF THE THIRD ORDER OF <br />ST. FRANCIS TO CONDUCT PEACE MARCH - JULY 1 1987 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request submitted to the Board on March 17, <br />1987 and recommend that the request be granted but that the <br />Petitioner be advised that one (1) to two (2) lanes of Michigan <br />Street will not be closed and that all participants must remain <br />on the sidewalk and obey all traffic signals. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
