REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 7, 1987 <br />Goods and services to be provided by the City: <br />All utilities <br />All office, operating and cleaning supplies <br />All office equipment <br />All maintenance equipment, including salt <br />All revenue equipment, supplies and parts <br />Plus whatever else is currently provided <br />The Budget assumes no change in parking rates or hours <br />of operation. <br />The monthly fee to Coyne-Kangesser, Inc. for managing and <br />supervising the two (2) garages will be $1,250.00 or <br />$625.00 for each garage. In addition to the monthly <br />management fee Coyne-Kangesser proposed an annual <br />incentive fee based upon the following schedule: <br />- 10% of gross parking revenues in excess of <br />$280,000.00 up to $300,000.00; plus <br />- 12 1/2% of gross parking revenues in excess of <br />$300,000.00 up to $320,000.00; plus <br />- 15% of gross parking revenues in excess of <br />$320,000.00. <br />Additionally indicated on the Proposal were five (5) <br />alternatives which included installation of state -of -the <br />art revenue and audit control parking equipment, installation <br />of new signing and graphics in both garages to reflect safe, <br />well run and concerned facilities for daily parkers, painting <br />of the garages if City provides paint and supplies and <br />installation of new high pressure sodium light fixtures in <br />the Colfax garage. <br />All equipment and capital improvements will be sold to the <br />City at the end of the Contract period for the sum of $1.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the above Proposal was referred to the City <br />Controller for review and recommendation. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 7-1987 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLES <br />(POLICE DEPARTMENT) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Police Chief Charles T. Hurley has <br />submitted a list of six (6) police vehicles which are considered <br />to be unsound and no longer fit for service within the police <br />vehicle fleet. These vehicles have high mileage and are becoming <br />too costly to maintain. Chief Hurley therefore requested that <br />the Board declare these vehicles as unfit for service within the <br />police fleet. Additionally, Chief Hurley further requested that <br />the Board consider offering these vehicles as trade-ins for six <br />(6) new vehicles which are to be purchased for the police <br />detective fleet. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq and carried, the request of the Chief was accepted, the <br />vehicles were declared obsolete and will be offered as trade-ins <br />for the purchase of new vehicles and the following Resolution No. <br />7-1987 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7-1987 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works that the Police Department vehicles listed on the attached <br />sheet are obsolete and no longer needed or are unfit for the <br />purposes for which they were intended. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
