REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 31, 1987 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) secondhand <br />dealers license application has been received: <br />NAME: R & J VARIETY & APPLIANCE STORE <br />BY: Ronald Johnson <br />ADDRESS: 1426 Portage <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Unknown <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department on the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above license <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />following Contractors and Excavation Bonds be approved and/or <br />released: <br />CONTRACTORS <br />S & S Store Designs, Inc. Released Effective 3/31/87 <br />Ziolkowski Construction Approved Effective 3/31/87 <br />EXCAVATION <br />Ziolkowski Construction Approved Effective 3/31/87 <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the recommendation of Mr. Humphrey was accepted and the <br />above referred to bonds were approved and/or released. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the following six (6) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF NO PARKING THIS SIDE, REVISED TO 2-HOUR <br />PARKING 6A-6P - North 1/2 block of 500 N. <br />Michigan, East side. (Seasonal signs). <br />2. REMOVAL OF NO PARKING THIS SIDE, REVISED TO OPEN <br />PARKING - 300 LaMonte Terrace. (Seasonal signs). <br />3. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Tonti at Hillcrest. <br />("T" Intersection). <br />4. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Parkovash at Hillcrest. <br />("T" Intersection). <br />5. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Esther at Bader. <br />("T" Intersection). <br />6. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Diamond at LaPorte. <br />("T" Intersection). <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Deputy City Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket <br />No. 6556 through Claim Docket No. 6806 and recommended approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the claims were approved and the report filed. <br />
