<br />REQUEST OF MAURICE MATTHYS TO CONDUCT ANNUAL PARADE - MAY 16,
<br />1987 - REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Ron Compton, President, Maurice
<br />Matthys Little League, Inc., Box 3074, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />requested permission to conduct their annual parade, composed of
<br />approximately sixty (60) vehicles, on Saturday, May 6, 1987
<br />beginning at 9:00 a.m., utilizing the following route:
<br />Begin at Matthys Little League ballpark, proceed east
<br />on Meadow Lane to Edison, north on Edison and Villageway
<br />to Washington, east on Washington to Gladstone, north on
<br />Gladstone to Linden, west on Linden to Lombardy Drive, south
<br />on Lombardy Drive to Ford, west on Ford to Sample, east on
<br />Sample to Evergreen, south on Evergreen to finish at the
<br />ballpark.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and
<br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic
<br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for
<br />review and recommendation.
<br />REQUEST OF VFW TO CONDUCT LOYALTY DAY PARADE - MAY 2, 1987 -
<br />REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Dorothy Pauwels, Chairman, 3rd
<br />District Loyalty Day Parade 1987, 21815 State Road 23, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, advised that every year the Veterans of Foreign
<br />Wars celebrates Loyalty Day with parades usually held in each
<br />district. She is therefore, requesting permission to conduct a
<br />Loyalty Day Parade on May 2, 1987, at approximately 2:00 p.m.
<br />The route to be utilized is as follows:
<br />Form in the Riley High School parking lot, proceed to
<br />Fellows and Ewing, march east on Ewing to Miami then north
<br />on Miami to Haney to disperse.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq,
<br />and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of
<br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division
<br />for review and recommendation.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and
<br />carried, the following twelve (12) traffic control devices were
<br />approved:
<br />1. REMOVAL OF 1-HOUR PARKING 6A-6P, REVISED TO NO
<br />PARKING LOADING ZONE - 100 E. Wayne, North side.
<br />(Temporary Loading Zone, February 5 to March 5).
<br />2. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Jefferson at Scott.
<br />("T" Intersection).
<br />3. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Dunham at Arnold.
<br />("T" Intersection).
<br />4. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Fisher at Walnut.
