�31 REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 3, 1987 warning devices at the Grand Trunk Western Railroad grade crossing at 500 South Ironwood. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the City is responsible for ten per cent (10%) of the cost of these improvements. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Agreements were approved and executed. APPROVE UTILITY AGREEMENTS - INDIANA & MICHIGAN ELECTRIC COMPANY (LOGAN STREET WIDENING PROJECT) Mr. Leszczynski advised that Indiana & Michigan Electric Company has submitted Utility Agreements as they relate to the Logan Street widening project. The Agreements indicate that I&M agrees that utility facilities located on Logan Street from south of the Grand Trunk Railroad to McKinley Highway and located on Hickory Road from McKinley Highway to north of Edison Road, are hereby granted permission to be located within the highway right-of- way. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above referred to Utility Agreements were approved and executed. APPROVE RESCISSION OF BID - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES Mr. Leszczynski advised that on October 28, 1986, the Board awarded the bid of Mr. David L. Harris, 201 North Chicago Street, South Bend, Indiana for the purchase of the following abandoned vehicles offered for sale: Tag #4443 Chev. $100.00 Tag #7317 Buick $250.00 As Mr. Harris has neither paid for the vehicles nor removed them from storage, it is being recommended that the Board rescind the bid award of October 28, 1986. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the bid rescinded. APPROVE REOUEST TO MOVE HOUSES - LYKOWSKI CONSTRUCTION. INC. Mr. Jack Mathews, Building Commissioner, has advised that Mr. Timothy J. Lykowski, President, Lykowski Construction, Inc., 21707 West Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, has requested permission to relocate two (2) houses as follows: FROM TO 1601 Perthway Drive 702 Widener 4547 York Road 630 Widener Mr. Mathews further advised that utility companies have been contacted and their requirements have been satisfied. Additionally, the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting has approved the routes submitted for moving these houses and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance has been submitted and is in order. Therefore, Mr. Mathews recommends Board approval of this request. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. FILING OF REQUEST TO WITHDRAW VACATION PETITION - E/W ALLEY EXCEPTING 14' N/S INTERSECTION IN BLOCK BOUNDED BY DUBAIL, CALVERT-GRANT AND WARREN STREETS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Common Council has stricken from its agenda the Vacation Petition in regards to the above referred to alley at the request of Mrs. Sylvia Castellon, 1801 South Grant Street, South Bend, Indiana, contact person for the Alley Vacation Petition.
