REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 15, 1988 <br />WHEREAS, the following Street Department office equipment <br />is unfit and no longer needed by the City of South Bend: <br />One (1) Victor Champion calculator <br />One (1) Victor Model 306 calculator <br />One (1) Unisonic XL-134B calculator <br />One (1) Unisonic XL-121 calculator <br />One (1) Sharp EL-11977 calculator <br />Two (2) Norelco 154097 dictaphones <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend that each item of the equipment listed <br />above is no longer needed by the City and is unfit for the <br />purpose for which it was intended and has an estimated value of <br />less than $500.00 and that all of the equipment listed above has <br />a total estimated value of less than $1,000.00. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said equipment be disposed of <br />and removed from the Citv Inventorv. <br />ADOPTED this 15th day of August, 1988. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John E. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following applications for bidder qualification <br />were accepted for filing and referred to the Affirmative Action <br />Review Committee for review and recommendation: <br />1. Berreth Oil, Inc. <br />2. Petroleum Traders Corp. <br />3. Smith Petroleum, Inc. <br />NEIGHB <br />LOSE 700 BLOCK OF <br />BLOCK PARTY - SE <br />WELLINGTON STREET <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Louis Leonard, 735 South Wellington, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested that the 700 block of South <br />Wellington Street, be closed from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m. on <br />September 4, 1988 for a neighborhood block party. Mr. Leonard's <br />request contained the signatures of thirteen (13) residents of the <br />700 block of Wellington Street in favor of this request. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO CLOSE BELMONT STREET, FROM INTERSECTION AT SUNNYS <br />WEST TO THE SECOND ALLEY - FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - <br />SEPTEMBER 4, 1988 <br />Mr. Louis M. Seago III, 1145 Belmont Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />requested that Belmont Street from the intersection at Sunnyside <br />west to the second alley be closed on Sunday, September 4, 1988 <br />from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (rain date September 5, 1988 from <br />2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) for a neighborhood block party. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and <br />recommendation. <br />1 <br />I <br />
