REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 25, 1988 <br />INDIANA ELECTRONICS CORPORATION <br />51357 Bittersweet Road <br />P.O. Box 178 <br />Granger, Indiana 46530-0178 <br />Proposal was submitted by Harold R. George, President, <br />in the amount of $24,851.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the Proposals were referred to Mr. Dale Balsbaugh, <br />Director, Morris Civic Auditorium, for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF BID - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - 614 <br />SOUTH COLUMBIA STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the <br />receiving and opening of sealed bids for the sale of City -owned <br />property at 614 South Columbia Street. Mr. Leszczynski further <br />advised that the property has an appraisal value of $253.00. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be <br />sufficient. The following bid was received: <br />MS. SANDRA P. KIEFFER BID: $275.00 <br />KIEFFER AND ZIMPELMAN PARTNERSHIP <br />17700 Woodthrush <br />South Bend, Indiana 46635 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Ms. Kieffer stated in her offer to <br />purchase that the property at 614 S. Columbia is needed for <br />parking for their adjacent property at 402 E. South (Max's <br />Grocery) in order to meet the City code requirements. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the bid as submitted was awarded and <br />the matter referred to the City Attorney's office for the <br />drafting of the appropriate Purchase Agreement. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR STAFF SUPPORT - ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS/CITY OF SOUTH BEND (I/N TEK GRANT) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board today is an <br />Agreement for Staff Support for the period July 1, 1988 to March <br />31, 1989 between St. Joseph County Commissioners and the City of <br />South Bend on behalf of its Economic Development Department. Mr. <br />Leszczynski further advised that the Agreement indicates that St. <br />Joseph County has received a State grant in the amount of $3 <br />Million dollars for infrastructure improvements to the I/N Tek <br />plan site and in order to comply with the terms of the Grant, <br />certain monitoring and reporting requirements relative to the <br />administration of the Grant are necessary. Further, as the <br />County does not possess staff experience in the monitoring and <br />reporting of such grants and as the City staff has experience in <br />these areas, the City and County agree that the City will provide <br />assistance in the areas of coordination of monitoring, quarterly <br />report submission, and coordination of audit. Upon a motion made <br />by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the <br />Agreement as submitted was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR EASEMENT - CHARLES TRADER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board today is an <br />Agreement for Easement between the City and Charles W. & Peggy Jo <br />Trader providing a permanent easement for the purpose of allowing <br />the existence, operation and maintenance of structural <br />appurtenances in and under the a parcel of real estates described <br />in said Easement. Mr. Leszczynski further advised that this <br />Easement is needed as Mr. & Mrs. Charles Trader are purchasing <br />the property located at Jefferson Boulevard and Eddy Street and <br />the garage on that property encroaches approximately six (6) <br />I <br />1 <br />1 <br />
