Box 671 <br />Decatur, Illinois <br />APPROVE APPLICATIONS FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Jimmy L. Scott, EEO Officer for the <br />City of South Bend, advised that he has reviewed the below listed <br />applications for bidder qualification and after complete review, <br />found that all requirements of the South Bend Affirmative Action <br />ordinance have been met. He therefore recommends that the <br />following be qualified for City bidding: <br />1. Etna Supply Company (Roger Potgeter) <br />2. Water Products Company (David Stevens) <br />3. Sanco Distributing <br />4. DRC Corporation <br />5. Torok Excavating & Demolition Company <br />6. Chemi-Trol Chemical Company <br />7. Business Systems, Inc. <br />8. Magna Chem, Inc. <br />9. Walsh & Kelly, Inc. <br />10. L. L. Geans & Sons, Inc. <br />11. Cardinal Chemical Corporation <br />12. Rowell Chemical Corporation <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the recommendation as submitted was accepted and the <br />applications approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY TO CONDUCT ANNUAL <br />POPPY DAY SALES - MAY 13-14, 1988 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on April 11, 1988 and recommend approval. Therefore, <br />upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF <br />ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, requested permission to advertise for the sale of <br />approximately thirteen (13) abandoned vehicles, which are being <br />stored at South Bend Auto Parts, 307 Calvert, South Bend, <br />Indiana. It was noted that all vehicles have been stored more <br />than fifteen (15) days, identification checks had been run for <br />auto theft and the owners and lienholders notified. Upon a <br />
