Coral Dodge East, Inc. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the recommendation as submitted by Mr. Scott was <br />accepted and the applications approved. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION — SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mrs. DeClercq stated that the Board is in receipt of one (1) <br />application for a Secondhand Dealers license from the following: <br />NAME: Parritt Wholesale & Retail Co. <br />BY: Lee R. Welche <br />ADDRESS: 420 Lincolnway West <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: General merchandise, guns, gold, <br />silver <br />Mrs. DeClercq advised that recommendations have been received <br />from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the above <br />applications. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, <br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT RACES <br />AND SIMILAR EVENTS - 1988 MOONLIGHT WALK AGAINST CRIME (APRIL <br />Mrs. DeClercq stated that in accordance with the Board's <br />approval of the above referred to request on March 14, 1988, the <br />appropriate Agreement for Use of Public Right-of-way for Foot <br />Races and Similar Events has been submitted for approval. It <br />was noted that the required proof of payment to the Civil <br />Defense and Weather Watch officers that will provide assistance <br />with this event has been submitted with the executed Agreement. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the Agreement as submitted was approved <br />and executed. <br />11, 1988 REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Sara Webb Phillips, <br />Christian Parish, 1412 South Carroll Street, <br />advised that the Southeast Side Neighborhood <br />a Neighborhood Festival on Saturday, June 11, <br />June 12, 1988). <br />Pastor, Broadway <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />would like to hold <br />1988 (raindate of <br />Pastor Phillips therefore requested that the 1400 block of <br />Carroll and Columbia Streets, between Broadway and Haney, be <br />blocked off during the hours of the festival, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 <br />p.m., or if held on June 12th, between the hours of 12:30 p.m. <br />to 5:00 p.m. She stated that the Broadway Christian Parish <br />parking lot will be set up with booths and activities and the <br />Gloria Dei Lutheran Church parking lot will be used for <br />parking. Blocking these sections of streets would be a safety <br />measure for those crossing the street to come to the festival. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the above referred to request was referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. <br />
