REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 28, 1988 <br />I <br />1 <br />L_J <br />have reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted <br />to the Board on February 8, 1988, and recommend approval. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the recommendation was accepted and <br />the request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE A PORTION OF RIVERSIDE DRIVE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the request submitted to the Board on March <br />21, 1988 by Ms. Marty Kenahan to close Riverside Drive, between <br />California and Golden on Saturday, April 2, 1988 from 10:00 a.m. <br />until 11:00 a.m. in conjunction with a neighborhood Easter Egg <br />Hunt which will be held in Shetterly Park and recommend <br />approval. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the <br />request approved. <br />lst District Councilman Stephen Luecke was present and expressed <br />his thanks to the Board on behalf of the residents and children <br />participating in this event for allowing the closing of Riverside <br />Drive in conjunction with the Easter Egg Hunt. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF CHET W <br />DAY PARADE - MAY 14. 1988 <br />'TLE LEAGUE TO CONDUCT OPENING <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Police Department Traffic Division and the City Attorneys office <br />have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the <br />Board on March 7, 1988 and recommend approval of the request <br />utilizing the following route: <br />Begin at Coveleski Stadium parking lot on Taylor Street; <br />proceed north on Taylor to Washington, east on Washington to <br />William Street; north on William to Portage Avenue, north on <br />Portage Avenue to Cleveland Road; east on Cleveland Road to <br />Riverside Drive; south on Riverside Drive to the Park entrance <br />(located at the rear of the St. Joseph County Highway Garage, <br />3301 Riverside Drive). <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the <br />request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT OPENING DAY PARADE - STANLEY COVELESKI <br />REGIONAL BASEBALL STADIUM - APRIL 10, 1988 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on March 21, 1988 and recommend approval.
