FEW! REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 25, 1988 by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was approved and the appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond as submitted was filed. Additionally, Trans Tech Electric, Inc., has submitted a Project Completion Affidavit for the Installation of Traffic Signals - Sugar/Maple-Bendix Drive Project indicating a final cost of $46,712.80. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was approved and the appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond as submitted was filed. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2-1988 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLE (POLICE DEPARTMENT) In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Charles T. Hurley advised that Mechanical #730, a 1982 Ford Fairmont, is experiencing mechanical and electrical problems and has become uneconomical to maintain. Therefore, he requested that this vehicle be declared obsolete and deleted from the Police Department vehicle inventory. Additionally, Chief Hurley advised that a 1984 Chrysler Laser, should be added to the Police Department inventory in place of the vehicle declared obsolete. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the following Resolution No. 2-1988 was adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 2-1988 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the following Police Department vehicle is unfit and no longer needed by the City of South Bend: UNIT YEAR MAKE SERIAL NUMBER MILEAGE 730 1982 Ford 1FABP21B9CK178505 73,667 WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits and establishes procedure for disposal of personal property which is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended which is no longer needed by the City. NOW, THEREFORE, of the City of South longer needed by the it was intended. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works Bend that the vehicle listed above is no City and is unfit for the purpose for which BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said vehicle be disposed of and and removed from the City Inventory. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of Proposals for the towing and storage of abandoned vehicles.
