FEW! <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 25, 1988 <br />by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit <br />was approved and the appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond as <br />submitted was filed. <br />Additionally, Trans Tech Electric, Inc., has submitted a Project <br />Completion Affidavit for the Installation of Traffic Signals - <br />Sugar/Maple-Bendix Drive Project indicating a final cost of <br />$46,712.80. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was <br />approved and the appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond as <br />submitted was filed. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2-1988 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLE <br />(POLICE DEPARTMENT) <br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Charles T. Hurley advised <br />that Mechanical #730, a 1982 Ford Fairmont, is experiencing <br />mechanical and electrical problems and has become uneconomical to <br />maintain. Therefore, he requested that this vehicle be declared <br />obsolete and deleted from the Police Department vehicle <br />inventory. Additionally, Chief Hurley advised that a 1984 <br />Chrysler Laser, should be added to the Police Department <br />inventory in place of the vehicle declared obsolete. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the following Resolution No. 2-1988 was <br />adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2-1988 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works that the following Police Department vehicle is unfit <br />and no longer needed by the City of South Bend: <br />UNIT YEAR MAKE SERIAL NUMBER MILEAGE <br />730 1982 Ford 1FABP21B9CK178505 73,667 <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits and establishes <br />procedure for disposal of personal property which is unfit for <br />the purpose for which it was intended which is no longer needed <br />by the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />of the City of South <br />longer needed by the <br />it was intended. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />Bend that the vehicle listed above is no <br />City and is unfit for the purpose for which <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said vehicle be disposed of and <br />and removed from the City Inventory. <br />ADOPTED this 25th day of January, 1988. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt <br />of Proposals for the towing and storage of abandoned vehicles. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the request was approved. <br />1 <br />1 <br />E <br />
