297 REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 2, 1989 PARCEL NO. 3. Beginning at a point Thirty (30) feet South of the South West corner of Lot Numbered 334 Maple Lane Addition, which lot is located at the North East corner of Northern Avenue and Rose Street. Thence South 1320 feet more or less to the Edison Road; thence West Fifty (50) feet; thence North 1320 feet more or less to the center of Rose Street; thence East Fifty (50) feet to the place of beginning. A true and complete copy of said Deed of Dedication is attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "B," and is incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, the proposed transfer and occupancy of the Maple Lane School by the United States Army for use as an Army Reserve Center necessitates the vacation of said public rights -of -way; and WHEREAS, said public rights -of -way have never been platted, named, improved, nor used as rights -of -way and the vacation of the same works no inconvenience or injury to the public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Board of Public Works hereby finds it in the public interest and advisable to seek to vacate the following -described unimproved and unnamed public rights -of -way existing over and upon the Maple Lane School property owned by the City of South Bend: PARCEL NO. 1. Beginning at the North West Corner of the South One-half (1/2) of the South west Quarter (1/4) of Section Thirty-two (32), Township Thirty-eight (38) North, Range Three (3) East, thence East 1072 feet more or less to a point Thirty (30) feet due South of the North-East corner of Rose Street and Northern Avenue as platted in the recorded Addition of Maple Lane; then South Thirty (30) feet; thence West 1072 feet more or less to a point Thirty (30) feet South of the place of beginning; thence North to the place of beginning. PARCEL NO. 2. Beginning at a point Thirty (30) feet South of the South West corner of Lot Numbered Two Hundred Fifty-six (256) Maple Lane Addition. Lot is located at the North East corner of Maple Lane and Rose Street; thence South 661 feet; thence West Fifty (50) feet; thence North 661 feet, thence East Fifty (50) feet to place of beginning. PARCEL NO. 3. Beginning at a point Thirty (30) feet South of the South West corner of Lot Numbered 334 Maple Lane Addition, which lot is located at the North East corner of Northern Avenue and Rose Street. Thence South 1320 feet more or less to the Edison Road; thence West Fifty (50) feet; thence North 1320 feet more or less to the center of Rose Street; thence East Fifty (50) feet to the place of beginning.
