<br />AWARD QUOTATION - ROOF REPAIRS AT MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
<br />Mr. Dale Balsbaugh, Director, Morris Civic Auditorium, advised
<br />that he has reviewed the two (2) Proposals received on July 10,
<br />1989 for the above referred to repair work and at this time
<br />recommends that the Proposal submitted by North Central Roofing,
<br />Inc., 1118 North Logan Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, in the amount
<br />of $8,968.00 be awarded. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq,
<br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was
<br />accepted and the Proposal was awarded.
<br />APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 719
<br />WEST JEFFERSON
<br />In accordance with the bid awarded on July 10, 1989, for the
<br />purchase of City -owned property at 719 West Jefferson in the
<br />amount of $275.00 to Mr. Kirt L. Edly, 120 Garfield Court, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, a Purchase Agreement was being submitted at this
<br />time for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,
<br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq, and carried, the Purchase Agreement
<br />was approved and the matter referred to the City Attorney's
<br />office for drafting of the appropriate Quit -Claim Deed.
<br />APPROVE LETTERS OF CREDIT - MILLER BUILDERS, INC.
<br />Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering,
<br />submitted to the Board two (2) Letters of Credit and asked that
<br />they be accepted in lieu of public improvements for the Creekwood
<br />Villas Section 1 Subdivision. The Letters of Credit are as
<br />follows:
<br />1. IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT NO. 606
<br />Amount:- $25,000.00
<br />Expiration: July 27, 1990
<br />Drawn Under: Valley American Bank
<br />For the Account of: Miller Builders, Inc., P.O. Box
<br />229, Granger, Indiana
<br />Work to be completed: Finish coat of asphalt on the
<br />streets and public sidewalks in
<br />Creekwood Villas Subdivision
<br />2. IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT NO. 607
<br />Amount: $52,000.00
<br />Expiration: October 25, 1989

<br />For the Account of: Miller Builders, Inc., P.O. Box
<br />229, Granger, Indiana
<br />Work to be completed: Installation and hook-up of the
<br />sewer lift station located in the
<br />Creekwood Villas Subdivision.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq
<br />and carried, the Letters of Credit as submitted were accepted and
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVE OFFICIAL ACTION - INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS -
<br />CONTROLS TO BE ESTABLISHED
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Indiana Department of Highways
<br />has submitted an Official Action indicating that turning
<br />movements shall be controlled at the intersection of U.S. 20
<br />(McKinley) and Greenlawn Avenue, in the City of South Bend, St.
<br />Joseph County, as follows: "NO TURN ON RED" shall be established
<br />on the north, south, east and west approaches of the intersection
<br />of U.S. 20 (McKinley) and Greenlawn Avenue.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq
<br />and carried, the Official Action form as submitted was approved
<br />and executed.
