190 <br />REGULAR MEETING JUNE 26, 1989 <br />DENY REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 2318 <br />ROGER STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Police Department Traffic <br />Division and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting have reviewed the <br />above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on <br />June 19, 1989. It is being recommended at this time that the <br />request be denied as Ms. Barnes does have a two (2) car drive at <br />her residence which is available to her for parking and therefore <br />no handicap signs are needed. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that <br />the recommendation be accepted and the request be denied. Mr. <br />Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE BLOCK PARTY REQUESTS: <br />- 1800 BLOCK OF WILBER, FROM MARQUETTE TO PORTAGE - JULY 4, 1989 <br />- WAYNE STREET, FROM ESTHER TO GREENLAWN - JULY 4, 1989 <br />- JACOB, FROM CEDAR TO MINER - JULY 8, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the above referred to block party <br />requests, which were received by the Board on June 26, 1989, have <br />been reviewed by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the <br />Police Department Traffic Division and are recommended for <br />approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was <br />accepted and the requests approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking <br />LOCATION: On Riverside - Boland to Underpass <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION: 24' Stop Sign <br />LOCATION: Calvert & Swygart <br />REMARKS: "T" Intersection <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - PARK SOUTH CONDOMINIUMS PHASE I (SEWER & <br />WATER) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above <br />referred to project, which is outside of the City limits, was <br />being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made <br />by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded.by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the <br />Title Sheet was approved and signed. <br />APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Sidewalk Sale Permit <br />application has been submitted: <br />NAME: Edwardo's Natural Pizza Restaurant <br />LOCATION: 235 South Michigan Street <br />DATES: July 1-2, 1989 <br />It was noted that the appropriate Indemnification Agreement was <br />signed and submitted with the application. <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the application be <br />approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of seventy-five (75) properties cleaned from June 5, 1989 <br />to June 12, 1989, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />I- <br />I <br />
