REGULAR MEETING <br />99 <br />1 <br />P OF LIBERTY SOUK <br />APRIL 10, 1989 <br />ELECTRONICS TO INSTALL <br />CANOPY <br />AT 2315 LINCOLNWAY WEST - REFERRED <br />Mr. Udo E.K. Radandt, President, Liberty Sound & Electronics, 511 <br />East Colfax, South Bend, Indiana, has requested permission to <br />have an entrance canopy erected at the place of his business at <br />511 East Colfax. Mr. Randandt submitted to the Board the <br />specifications of the canopy to be erected. Therefore, upon a <br />motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the request was referred to the appropriate City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST OF FOREST SIGN & DISPLAY, INC. TO INSTALL SIGN OVER <br />PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AT 123 NORTH HILL STREET - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Emerson Douglass, Forest Sign & <br />Display, Inc., 2729 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />advised that his company proposes to install a double -face <br />illuminated sign which will project approximately one (1) foot, <br />ten (10) inches onto the public right-of-way at 123 North Hill <br />Street at the Darr & Associates building. Mr. Douglass submitted <br />with his request various information regarding the sign and its <br />installation. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, <br />seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the request was referred <br />to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Christo <br />Adalbert/Corvilla Run Director, <br />Huron Street, South Bend, Indian <br />conduct the annual one (1) and f <br />Mr. Borkowski advised that this <br />funds for the benefit of Corvill <br />day care for handicapped of the area. <br />REFERRED <br />89 St. <br />Saint Adalbert Parish, 2420 West <br />a, requested permission to <br />ive (5) mile foot races. <br />event is held yearly to raise <br />a, an area organization providing <br />Mr. Borkowski further advised that the runs will be held on <br />Sunday, July 9, 1989 beginning at 6:00 p.m. and ending at <br />approximately 7:30 p.m. He submitted with the request maps <br />depicting the usual route as used in the past and stated that <br />approximately two hundred twenty-five (225) individuals are <br />expected to participate. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the request was referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - CHEMICALS <br />- BUREAU OF WASTEWATER <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Karl R. Kopec, Manager, Bureau of <br />Wastewater, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of <br />bids for the following chemicals: <br />1. Chlorine <br />2. Ferric Chloride <br />3. By -Product Phosphoric Acid <br />Mr. Kopec stated that these bids would be the basis for their <br />purchases from June 1, 1989 through December 31, 1990. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the following four (4) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />
