South Bend Avenue Southwest (2 signs) Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the request was referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. APPROVE REQUEST OF OFFICE OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS TO CHANGE ST JOSEPH STREET AT JEFFERSON BOULEVARD TO "ST PATRICK'S BOULEVARD" - MARCH 17, 1989 In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Mikki Dobski, Office of Community Affairs, requested approval for a street name change on Friday, March 17, 1989 at 11:30 a.m. in honor of St. Patrick's Day. She stated that it is requested that St. Joseph Street at Jefferson Boulevard be changed to read "St. Patrick's Boulevard." Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the request was approved. REQUEST OF SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE TO CONDUCT SUNBURST MARATHON AND 10K ROAD RACE - JUNE 10, 1989 - REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Ms. Joyce Fox, Race Director, South Bend Tribune Sunburst Events, 225 West Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct the Sunburst Marathon (26.2 mile) and the 10K (6.2 mile) road race on Saturday, June 10, 1989. Ms. Fox submitted with the request maps of the courses, and a mile by mile time schedule showing when the first runners will enter an area and when the area will be clear of Sunburst participants. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the request was referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 750 SOUTH FALCON STREET - REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Ms. Darlene Bodnar, 750 South Falcon Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that she is a victim of muscular sclerosis and her condition requires that any walking be limited. Ms. Bodnar submitted a letter from her doctor verifying her disability and requested that the parking space in front of her residence be designated as a handicapped parking space. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. APPROVE REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE WITH YOUTH CONCERTS AT MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM - APRIL 27-28 1989 Mrs. DeClercq advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on January 30, 1989, and recommend approval at this time. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the following public parking facility license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of the appropriate licenses:
