South Bend Avenue Southwest (2 signs) <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the request was referred to the appropriate City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF OFFICE OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS TO CHANGE ST <br />JOSEPH STREET AT JEFFERSON BOULEVARD TO "ST PATRICK'S BOULEVARD" <br />- MARCH 17, 1989 <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Mikki Dobski, Office of <br />Community Affairs, requested approval for a street name change on <br />Friday, March 17, 1989 at 11:30 a.m. in honor of St. Patrick's <br />Day. She stated that it is requested that St. Joseph Street at <br />Jefferson Boulevard be changed to read "St. Patrick's Boulevard." <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the request was approved. <br />REQUEST OF SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE TO CONDUCT SUNBURST MARATHON AND <br />10K ROAD RACE - JUNE 10, 1989 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Joyce Fox, Race Director, South <br />Bend Tribune Sunburst Events, 225 West Colfax Avenue, South Bend, <br />Indiana, requested permission to conduct the Sunburst Marathon <br />(26.2 mile) and the 10K (6.2 mile) road race on Saturday, June <br />10, 1989. Ms. Fox submitted with the request maps of the <br />courses, and a mile by mile time schedule showing when the first <br />runners will enter an area and when the area will be clear of <br />Sunburst participants. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, <br />seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the request was referred <br />to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 750 SOUTH <br />FALCON STREET - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Darlene Bodnar, 750 South Falcon <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that she is a victim of <br />muscular sclerosis and her condition requires that any walking be <br />limited. Ms. Bodnar submitted a letter from her doctor verifying <br />her disability and requested that the parking space in front of <br />her residence be designated as a handicapped parking space. Upon <br />a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review <br />and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE WITH YOUTH CONCERTS AT MORRIS <br />CIVIC AUDITORIUM - APRIL 27-28 1989 <br />Mrs. DeClercq advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on January 30, 1989, and recommend <br />approval at this time. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following public parking facility license <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of the appropriate licenses: <br />
