35 <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 6, 1989 <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of seventy-four (74) properties cleaned from January 17, <br />1989 to January 27, 1989, was submitted. Upon a motion made by <br />Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the report <br />as submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, Certificates of Insurance for the following were <br />accepted for filing: <br />1. LaFree Excavating, Inc., <br />11252 W. 3rd Street <br />Osceola, Indiana <br />2. Rieth-Riley Construction Company <br />P.O. Box 477 <br />Goshen, Indiana 46526 <br />3. Walsh and Kelly, Inc., <br />W & K Equipment Co., Inc., <br />Thomas Walsh <br />1700 East Main Street <br />Griffith, Indiana 46319-2999 <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job <br />Training Program, submitted three (3) lists containing two <br />hundred nineteen (219) claims and recommended approval. <br />Additionally, Chief Deputy Controller John D. Leisenring, <br />submitted Claim Docket No. 4172 through Claim Docket No. 4388 and <br />recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the claims were approved <br />and the reports as submitted were filed. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:46 a.m. <br />MEETING RECONVENEND <br />Mr. Leszczynski reconvened the meeting of the Board of Public <br />Works at 9:47 a.m. to consider an Agreement for Engineering <br />Services with Clyde E. Williams & Associates which was on the <br />Board's February 6, 1989 agenda but was not available for <br />consideration before the regular meeting adjourned. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES - CLYDE E. WILLIAMS <br />AND ASSOCIATES <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted at this time is an <br />Agreement with Clyde E. Williams and Associates in the amount of <br />$104,550.00 for a computerized traffic design system for the <br />downtown area similar to the computerized traffic signals in <br />place on Ireland Road. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the Agreement as submitted was approved and <br />executed. <br />Mr. Leszczynski, in response to questions from the news media, <br />explained that the Agreement is for the design of computerized <br />traffic signals at forty-six (46) intersections in the downtown <br />area. The fee for the engineering services is $104,550.00 and <br />
