34 <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 6, 1989 <br />therefore ready to be turned over to the City for maintenance as <br />it does meet requirements. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that <br />the Engineer's Report as submitted be approved. Mrs. DeClercq <br />seconded the motion and it carried. <br />REQUEST OF CHET WAGGONER'S LITTLE LEAGUE TO CONDUCT ANNUAL <br />OPENING DAY PARADE - MAY 6, 1989 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Vincent T. DeLalla, President, Chet <br />Waggoner Little League, 18588 South Cypress Circle, South Bend, <br />Indiana, requested approval for a Chet Waggoner Little League <br />Parade to be held on May 6, 1989 starting at 8:00 a.m. The <br />parade will start at the Coveleski Stadium and proceed along the <br />same route as used last year which is as follows: <br />Begin at Coveleski Stadium parking lot on Taylor <br />Street; north on Taylor to Washington; east on <br />Washington to William Street; north on William <br />to Portage Avenue; north on Portage Avenue to <br />Cleveland Road; east on Cleveland Road to <br />Riverside Drive; south on Riverside Drive to <br />the Park entrance (located at the rear of the <br />St. Joseph County Highway Garage, 3301 Riverside <br />Drive. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the request was referred to the appropriate City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />FILING OF PETITIONS FOR RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONES AT <br />PORTIONS OF FRANKLIN PLACE AND W. JEFFERSON BOULEVARD <br />Mrs. Freeman Yeager, 129 Franklin Place, South Bend, Indiana, <br />submitted to the Board Petitions for the establishment of <br />restricted residential parking zones at portions of Franklin <br />Place and W. Jefferson Boulevard to assist her tenants in those <br />buildings. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Petition was referred to the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting in order that the appropriate <br />traffic study could be conducted in those areas. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the following four (4) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. REVISED TO: 1 Hour Parking 6A - 6P <br />LOCATION: 336 North Notre Dame <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION: <br />Handicap - One (1) space <br />LOCATION: <br />309 North Huey <br />REMARKS: <br />Pursuant to the request submitted <br />to the Board on January 3, 1989 <br />by Mr. David Lewis, Jr. <br />3. NEW INSTALLATION: <br />Handicap - Two (2) spaces <br />LOCATION: <br />On Fellows at Chippewa <br />4. REMOVAL: <br />Handicap Tow Away Zone <br />LOCATION: <br />613 South Michigan <br />REMARKS: <br />Business has moved - Alternative <br />Mobility <br />
