Mr. Leszczynski noted that this
increase is due to the additional cost for a number of
miscellaneous items. Additionally submitted was the Project
Completion Affidavit indicating this new final cost. Upon a
motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and
carried, Change Order No. 3 (Final) and the Project Completion
Affidavit were approved and the appropriate three (3) year
Maintenance Bond was accepted for filing.
APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 - WASTEWATER PLANT - ADMINISTRATION
BUILDING ADDITION
Mr. John J. The
Police Department noted that based on conversations with
residents of the neighborhood, this is not a neighborhood block
party request but a student party. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made
a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the request be
denied. In a letter to the Board Mr. Dillon noted
that the present telephone system at Wastewater also serves the
Sewer and Solid Waste Departments and is at an age where it is
having more frequent breakdowns with only refurbished repair
parts available. Just recently there was a major failure in the
system leaving all three (3) departments with only emergency
power failure services for two (2) full days.
Mr. Dillon stated that they believe it would be advantageous to
purchase a new system at this time rather than to expand an
obsolete one and he therefore requested that the Board advertise
