336 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 15, 1990 <br />for receipt of Proposals for a new telephone system. Mrs. <br />DeClercq made a motion that the request be approved. Ms. <br />Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS BOND/RELEASE EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the Contractors Bond for Larry Burnside, d/b/a <br />Burnside, Inc., be approved effective October 15, 1990 and that <br />the Excavation Bond for HRP Corporation be released effective May <br />30, 1991. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the above bonds be approved and/or <br />released as indicated. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY MONTHLY REPORT - SEPTEMBER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Humane Society of St. Joseph <br />County, IN, Inc., has submitted the monthly report for the month <br />of September indicating the number and types of animals handled <br />for the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Humphreys made a <br />motion that the report as submitted be accepted for filing. Mr. <br />Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Two (2) reports from the Department of Code Enforcement <br />indicating a total of twenty-eight (28) City -owned and <br />miscellaneous properties cleaned from October 1, 1990 to October <br />5, 1990, and eighty-three (83) other properties cleaned from <br />October 1, 1990 to October 5, 1990, were submitted. Upon a <br />motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the reports as submitted were filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, Employment and Training <br />Services of St. Joseph County, submitted two (2) lists containing <br />one hundred fifty-five (155) claims and recommended approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the claims were approved and the reports as <br />submitted were filed. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:58 a.m. <br />Patricia E.
