<br />have fulfilled Resolution requirements and an Agreement with them
<br />is being presented to the Board at this time. It was noted that
<br />on June 4, 1990, the Board of Public Works approved the date for
<br />this event subject to the sponsor meeting all Resolution
<br />requirements.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski
<br />and carried, the Agreement as submitted was approved and
<br />executed.
<br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - CAR WASHES
<br />FOR CITY VEHICLES
<br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Ronald G. Marciniak,
<br />requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for
<br />car washes for City vehicles for the period August 1, 1990
<br />through July 31, 1991. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the
<br />request be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which
<br />carried.

<br />NAPIER, IN CONJUNCTION WITH PARISH SUMMER FESTIVAL - AUGUST

<br />Rev. David J. Porterfield, C.S.C., Associate Pastor, St.
<br />Stephen's Parish, 1102 West Thomas Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />advised that for the past several years the parish has been
<br />conducting a summer festival on McPherson Street outside of the
<br />church building.
<br />This year, the Parish Summer festival is scheduled for Sunday,
<br />August 5, 1990. As in the past, it is being requested that
<br />McPherson Street, from Thomas to Napier, be closed from 9:00
<br />a.m., Saturday, August 4, 1990 through Sunday, August 5, 1990
<br />in conjunction with the festival.

<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Julie Schreiber, 2402 Union
<br />Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the residents of
<br />Union Avenue are requesting that Union Avenue, between
<br />Solomon and MacArthur, be closed on Sunday, August 12, 1990
<br />from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m., for a neighborhood block
<br />party.
<br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the above requests be referred
<br />to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and
<br />recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried.
