157 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 7, 1990 <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the above referred to Change Orders were approved and <br />executed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - UNION <br />STATION PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, <br />requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for <br />the above referred to project. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion <br />that the request be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion <br />which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR <br />TON CHASSIS TRUC <br />SNOW PLOW <br />RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />OPERATED DUMP BED AND FRONT <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Phil St. Clair, Director, Division <br />of Equipment Services, requested, on behalf of the Bureau of <br />Cemeteries, that the Board advertise for the receipt of one (1) <br />One Ton Chassis Truck. Mr. St. Clair noted that included with <br />the bid advertisement will be a PTO operated dump bed and a front <br />mounted snow plow. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the request <br />be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR THE <br />OF BIDS• <br />- COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOW IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT - #CS37 <br />- LIFT STATION IMPROVEMENTS AT MONROE & EDGEWATER AND COLFAX & <br />SYCAMORR <br />Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, <br />requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for <br />the above referred to projects. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that <br />the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE REQ1 <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1, <br />THIRTY-TWO (32) YARD ALUMINUM TRAILER - BUREAU OF SANITATION <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager, <br />Department of Sanitation, requested that the Board advertise for <br />the receipt of bids for one (1) thirty-two (32) CU.YD. Aluminum <br />Dump Trailer. This vehicle will be used by the Department of <br />Sanitation for the Sludge Farm Operation on Cleveland Road. The <br />trailer will be in addition to the units already in use and <br />therefore the bid will not reflect a trade-in. Mr. Leszczynski <br />made a motion that the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUEST OF INDEPENDENT ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS TO CONDUCT PROCESSION <br />FROM ROBERT BLUM LODGE TO CITY CEMETERY - MAY 20, 1990 - REFERRED <br />Mr. Paul T. Kunz, 56090 Currant Road, Mishawaka, Indiana, on <br />behalf of the Grand Lodge of Indiana, Independent Order of Odd <br />Fellows, advised that on May 20, 1990, the Odd Fellows and <br />Rebekahs will honor Schuyler Colfax at the City Cemetery. The <br />participants will meet at the Robert Blum Lodge #278 at 1625 <br />North Bendix Drive, at 1:00 p.m. and at 1:30 p.m. they will leave <br />in a procession for the City Cemetery. Mr. Kunz noted that some <br />of the drivers are from other states and as a service, the City <br />last year provided a police escort. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request to conduct the <br />procession with a police escort be referred to the appropriate <br />City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />
