157 REGULAR MEETING MAY 7, 1990 Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the above referred to Change Orders were approved and executed. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - UNION STATION PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR TON CHASSIS TRUC SNOW PLOW RECEIPT OF BIDS - OPERATED DUMP BED AND FRONT In a letter to the Board, Mr. Phil St. Clair, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested, on behalf of the Bureau of Cemeteries, that the Board advertise for the receipt of one (1) One Ton Chassis Truck. Mr. St. Clair noted that included with the bid advertisement will be a PTO operated dump bed and a front mounted snow plow. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. TO ADVERTISE FOR THE OF BIDS• - COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOW IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT - #CS37 - LIFT STATION IMPROVEMENTS AT MONROE & EDGEWATER AND COLFAX & SYCAMORR Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to projects. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE REQ1 TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1, THIRTY-TWO (32) YARD ALUMINUM TRAILER - BUREAU OF SANITATION In a letter to the Board, Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager, Department of Sanitation, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for one (1) thirty-two (32) CU.YD. Aluminum Dump Trailer. This vehicle will be used by the Department of Sanitation for the Sludge Farm Operation on Cleveland Road. The trailer will be in addition to the units already in use and therefore the bid will not reflect a trade-in. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. REQUEST OF INDEPENDENT ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS TO CONDUCT PROCESSION FROM ROBERT BLUM LODGE TO CITY CEMETERY - MAY 20, 1990 - REFERRED Mr. Paul T. Kunz, 56090 Currant Road, Mishawaka, Indiana, on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Indiana, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, advised that on May 20, 1990, the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs will honor Schuyler Colfax at the City Cemetery. The participants will meet at the Robert Blum Lodge #278 at 1625 North Bendix Drive, at 1:00 p.m. and at 1:30 p.m. they will leave in a procession for the City Cemetery. Mr. Kunz noted that some of the drivers are from other states and as a service, the City last year provided a police escort. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request to conduct the procession with a police escort be referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried.
