<br />1894, 91st U.S. Congress, 49 CFR Part 24 dated March 2, 1989
<br />are not applicable to this project. This project, therefore,
<br />is clear for construction letting.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq
<br />and carried, the Right -of -Way Certification was approved and
<br />executed.
<br />APPROVE ENGINEER ASSIGNMENTS:
<br />- CALVERT/TWYCKENHAM, LOGAN/MISHAWAKA AND HICKORY/MIRACLE LANE
<br />SIGNAL PROJECTS
<br />- CBD SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director,
<br />Division of Engineering, has submitted to the Board letters
<br />addressed to Ms. Christine W. Letts, Director, Indiana Department
<br />of Highways, 1101 State Office Building, 100 North Senate Avenue,
<br />Indianapolis, Indiana, advising her of the names of the Project
<br />Engineer, Assistant Project Supervisor and Inspectors for the
<br />above referred to projects and requested that the Board execute
<br />these project engineer assignment letters.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys
<br />and carried, the Engineer Assignment for the Calvert/Twyckenham,
<br />Logan/Mishawaka and Hickory/Miracle Lane Signal Projects was
<br />approved and executed.
<br />Additionally, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by
<br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Engineer Assignment for the CBD
<br />Signal Improvements Project was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVE UTILITY AGREEMENTS - CBD SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS
<br />Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering,
<br />submitted to the Board Utility Agreements for the CBD Signal
<br />Improvements. It is noted that the Agreements are between the
<br />City of South Bend Board of Public Works and Indiana Michigan
<br />Power Company, Heritage Cablevision Corporation, South Bend Water
<br />Works, South Bend Bureau of Sewers, Northern Indiana Public
<br />Service Company and Indiana Bell Telephone Company. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and
<br />carried, the Agreements as submitted were approved and executed.
<br />It is noted that the Agreements indicate that the utility agrees
<br />that utility facilities located in the vicinity of forty-six (46)
<br />intersections in the CBD are hereby granted permission to be
<br />located within the highway right-of-way.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 & 5 - ST. JOSEPH/WAYNE STREET PARKING
<br />GARAGE
<br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that Walker Parking Consultants, 7330
<br />Shadeland Station, Indianapolis, Indiana and Carl J. Reinke &
<br />Sons, Inc., P.O. Box 3095, South Bend, Indiana have submitted the
<br />following Change Orders:
<br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 - REVISED
<br />Increase: $ 6,711.43
<br />New Contract Sum: $3,268,541.92
<br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 5 - REVISED
<br />Deduct: $ 63,500.00
<br />New Contract Sum: $3,205,041.92
