Emi 1 I REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 22, 1990 to park the busses either on the Shopper's Park Free Parking Lot or the Century Center parking lot. She noted that approximately 1,800 students will be attending the concerts with a maximum of thirty-eight (38) busses per performance. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE REQUEST OF CITY AWNING TO INSTALL BACKLIT CANOPY AT 117 WEST SOUTH STREET Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on January 2, 1990 and approval is recommended. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the request be approved subject to the submission of the required installation details for this canopy at the time the permit is issued. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION: 2 Hour Handicap Tow Zone 2 spaces LOCATION: 115 North William Street REMARKS: Pursuant to request submitted to the Board on 1/2/90 by Employment and Training Services of St. Joseph County 2. NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap parking space LOCATION: 1208 Napier REMARKS: Pursuant to request submitted to the Board on 11/13/89 by Ms. Amy York APPROVE TITLE SHEETS - DOWNTOWN SOUTH BEND SIDEWALK REPAIRS - MORRIS CIVIC PLAZA - VIEWING PARK - HOWARD PARK WALL - RIVERFRONT LIGHTING FROM LA SALLE ST. TO MONROE - NILES AVENUE PHASE IV - MADISON STREET - PARKING & LIGHTING - EAST RACE TO NILES - WASHINGTON STREET - NILES AVENUE TO HILL - EAST BANK WALKWAY PHASE I - COLFAX NORTH WALKWAY Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above named Title Sheets were approved and signed. APPROVE Mr. Mich that the released /OR RELEASE d el P. Meeks, Director, following Contractors as indicated: ORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS Division of Engineering, recommended and Excavation Bonds be approved and/or CONTRACTOR'S BOND - Tom Davis Released Effective 8/22/90 EXCAVATION BOND - Walter Collins Approved Effective 1/17/90 Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above bonds were approved and/or released as indicated above.
