Mrs. <br />DeClercq seconded the motion which carried <br />PETITION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONE <br />500-600 E. EWING AVENUE - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Fifth District Council Member Linas <br />Slavinskas submitted a Petition for the Establishment of a Restricted <br />Residential Parking Zone in the 500-600 blocks of East Ewing Avenue. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Petition be referred to the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting in order that the appropriate traffic <br />study can be conducted. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which <br />carried <br />REQUESTS OF CITY AWNING TO ERECT CANOPIES AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS - <br />REFERRED <br />- 1008 WEST SAMPLE STREET (DISCOUNT FURNITURE) <br />- 2210-2216 MISHAWAKA AVENUE ( B & E HOME IMPROVEMENTS) <br />- 133 NORTH WILLIAMS (PORTAGE <br />- 1315 SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that <br />requests from City Awning of <br />South Bend, Indiana, to erect <br />TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE) <br />(THE KITTY KAT LOUNGE) <br />the Board is in receipt of four (4) <br />South Bend, 1835 South Franklin Street, <br />the following canopies: <br />1008 WEST SAMPLE STREET - DISCOUNT FURNITURE <br />Front edge of canopy will project a maximum of 3' (3611) over <br />the sidewalk. Frame will consist of 3/4" aluminum rafters, <br />spaced every 24" apart, with 1" top and bottom rails. <br />Bottom of frame will be a minimum of 816" (102") from <br />sidewalk level. <br />2210-2216 MISHAWAKA AVENUE - B & E HOME IMPROVEMENTS <br />Front edge of canopy will project a maximum of 2' (2411) over <br />the sidewalk. Frame will consist of 3/4" aluminum rafters, <br />spaced every 24" apart, with 1" top and bottom rails. <br />Bottom of frame will be a minimum of 816" `(1021') from <br />sidewalk level. <br />133 NORTH WILLIAM STREET - PORTAGE TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE <br />Canopy will be installed on the south side of the building <br />over a picture window facing the parking lot. The request <br />indicates that the canopy will not be over the City sidewalk <br />in front (east) of the building. <br />1315 SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET - THE KITTY KAT LOUNGE <br />Front edge of canopy will project a maximum of 3' (3611) over <br />the sidewalk. Frame will consist of 3/4" aluminum rafters, <br />spaced every 24" apart, with 1" top and bottom rails. <br />Bottom of frame will be a minimum of 816" (102") from <br />sidewalk level. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the above requests were referred to the appropriate City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST OF WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION OF THE SOUTH BEND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA <br />ASSOCIATION FOR TRAFFIC ASSISTANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH YOUTH CONCERTS <br />PROGRAM AT MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM - APRIL 26-27, 1990 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Milana Tomec, Transportation Committee, <br />South Bend Symphony, 50650 Tarrington Way, Granger, Indiana, advised <br />that on behalf of the South Bend Symphony Youth Concerts Program, she <br />is requesting the assistance of the Police Department and the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting in directing and parking busses and moving <br />students to and from the Morris Civic Auditorium on Thursday, April <br />26, 1990 and Friday, April 27, 1990 at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Ms. <br />Tomec noted that she is at the present time trying to seek permission <br />11 <br />1 <br />
