REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 7, 1991 <br />that Dye Plumbing and Heating requests permission to close the <br />east bound lanes of LaSalle Street, from Main to Michigan/Saint <br />Joseph Street, for the installation of a fire protection water <br />service at 120 West LaSalle. This closing would be for a period <br />of three (3) days commencing Tuesday, October 8, 1991. Westbound <br />traffic would be maintained all during this period. Dye Plumbing <br />has requested Occupancy and Excavation permits from the <br />Engineering Division. They have contacted the Traffic and <br />Lighting Department regarding a detour route and will provide <br />traffic control for their work. Mr. Littrell stated that he <br />recommends approval of this request. Therefore, upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, <br />the recommendation was accepted and the request was approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following four (4) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. TEMPORARY: No Parking <br />6 a.m. to 12:00 noon <br />DATE: October 16, 1991 <br />LOCATION: Colfax - St. Joseph to Lafayette - <br />both sides, Woodward Court, Colfax to <br />Washington - both sides <br />REMARKS: This temporary no parking is in <br />conjunction with a children's show <br />that will be taking place at the <br />Morris Civic Auditorium. The above <br />named locations will be used to park <br />school buses. <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />3. REMOVAL OF: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />Handicap Parking Space <br />North side of 1700 block of Hildreth <br />Request of I.U.S.B. <br />Handicap Parking Space <br />617 North Lafayette <br />Handicapped resident, Mr. Ramon T. <br />Ortiz, does not live at this address <br />any longer. <br />4. NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking <br />LOCATION: 1013 Calvert <br />REMARKS: With the re -design of Calvert and <br />Miami, the no parking zone needs to be <br />extended to 1013 Calvert. <br />APPROVE BONDS OF CONTRACTORS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the Bond of Contractor for Ted Temple, d/b/a <br />Temple Contractors be approved effective October 7, 1991. <br />Additionally, it is recommended that the Bond of Contractor for <br />Robert L. Geans, d/b/a Robert Geans and Sons Concrete Contractors <br />be approved effective October 7, 1991. Mrs. DeClercq made a <br />motion that the recommendations be accepted and the bonds be <br />approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2) <br />lists submitted by the Department of Code Enforcement indicating <br />the locations of forty-nine (49) City -owned and miscellaneous <br />properties cleaned by the Department during the period September <br />I <br />n <br />
