2042 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />TUNE 24, 1991 <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF <br />ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, requested permission to advertise for the sale of <br />approximately fourteen (14) abandoned vehicles, which are being <br />stored at Super Auto Salvage Corporation, 3300 South Main Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that all vehicles have been <br />stored more than fifteen (15) days, identification checks had <br />been run for auto theft and the owners and lienholders notified. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />end carried, the above request was approved and a date of July 8, <br />1991, was established for the receiving and opening of sealed <br />bids. <br />REQUEST TO CLOSE FREDRICKSON, FROM JOHNSON TO O'BRIEN, FOR <br />BLOCK PARTY - JULY 4, 1991 - REFERRED <br />Ms. Peggy Jennings, 737 North Johnson, South Bend, Indiana, <br />submitted to the Board an Application for Use of and Blocking of <br />Access to Public Right -of -Way for a Party or Similar Event, <br />requesting that Fredrickson, from Johnson to O'Brien, be closed <br />from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 4, 1991 for a block party. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be referred to the <br />.appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Sidewalk Sale Permit <br />Application has been submitted to the Board for approval: <br />NAME: Edwardo'.s Natural Pizza <br />BY: Michael Zeno <br />ADDRESS: 235 South Michigan Street <br />DATES: June 29-30, 1991 <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that the required Indemnification Agreement <br />was executed by Mr. Zeno and was attached to the application. <br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the .application be approved. <br />Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. <br />Monday thru Friday <br />LOCATION: 403 East Madison (Seven (7) <br />Parking spaces <br />REMARKS: Requested by Verkler Construction <br />- temporary - to be removed <br />7-31-92 <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the following Contractors and Excavation bonds <br />be approved as indicated: <br />CONTRACTORS BOND - <br />- Louis Dean Spaid Approved Effective 6-17-91 <br />d/b/a Dean's Concrete & Landscaping <br />EXCAVATION BOND <br />- Bradberry Brothers, Inc.
