65 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 20, 1991 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the above requests were referred to the appropriate <br />City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />PETITION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL <br />PARKING ZONE - 700-718 EAST CEDAR STREET - REFERRED <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a <br />Petition for the Establishment of a Residential Parking Zone from <br />700-718 East Cedar Street (south side). Therefore, Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that the Petition be referred to the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting in order that the appropriate <br />traffic study can be conducted. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS: <br />OF MADISON HOME SCHOOL ORGANIZATION TO CLOSE PARK LANE FROM <br />LAFAYETTE BOULEVARD TO MAIN STREET, IN CONJUNCTION WITH <br />ANNUAL ICE CREAM SOCIAL - MAY 31, 1991 <br />OF ST. JOE VALLEY WATERCOLOR SOCIETY FOR VARIOUS TRAFFIC <br />ASSISTANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH LEEPER PARK ART FAIR - JUNE 15-16 <br />1991 <br />TO CLOSE A PORTION OF 30TH STREET FOR NEIGHBORHOOD/GOING AWAY <br />PARTY - JUNE 2. 1991 <br />OF PAUL GILL FURNITURE TO INSTALL CANOPY AT 425 SOUTH MICHIGAN <br />,STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to requests which were <br />received by the Board on May 13, 1991, April 22, 1991, and March <br />4, 1991 and approval is recommended. It is noted that the <br />request to close 30th Street, from Pleasant to Northside <br />Boulevard, has been amended and it is recommended by the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting that the street be closed between two <br />alleys. <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made motions that the requests of the <br />Madison Home School Organization, the St. Joe Valley Watercolor <br />Society and of Paul Gill Furniture be approved. ,Ms. Humphreys <br />seconded the motions which carried. Additionally, Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that the request to close a portion of <br />30th Street for a neighborhood block party be approved. Mrs. <br />DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL LICENSE APPLICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) Rubbish and <br />-Garbage Removal license application has been received and <br />reviewed: <br />1. KARL CONJALKA <br />309 West Front <br />Box 584 <br />New Carlisle, Indiana <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the above referred to license application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance of the appropriate license. <br />APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATIONS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2) <br />.Sidewalk Sale Permit applications as follows: <br />
