Dainty Maid Bake Shop <br />231 South Michigan Street <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Dates: May 31, 1991 and June 1, 1991 <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the two (2) Sidewalk Sale Permit applications were <br />approved. <br />APPROVE AND OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the Contractor's Bond for Victor Lynn and Monty <br />Noble, d/b/a Express Concrete Company be approved effective May <br />20, 1991 and that the Contractor's Bond for Ronnie G. Perry be <br />released effective May 20, 1991. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made <br />a motion that the recommendations be accepted and the bonds be <br />approved and/or released as indicated above. Mrs. DeClercq <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, a Certificate of Insurance for Dainty Maid Bake <br />Shop, Inc., 231 South Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, was <br />accepted and filed. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS LISTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2) <br />lists from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating that <br />thirty-three (33) properties were cleaned from May 6, 1991 to May <br />9, 1991 and that thirty-one (31) City-owned/Miscellaneous <br />properties were cleaned from May 6, 1991 to May 9, 1991. Mrs. <br />DeClercq therefore made a motion that the lists as submitted be <br />filed. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Juan A. Manigault, Executive Director, Employment and <br />Training Services, submitted to the Board a list containing <br />sixty-nine (69) claims and recommended approval. Mrs. DeClercq <br />therefore made a motion that the claims be approved and the <br />report as submitted be filed. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR: <br />INQUIRY BY THE NEWS MEDIA REGARDING THE STATUS OF THE ATTENDANCE <br />AT THE PARKING GARAGES DUE TO INCREASED ON -STREET PARKING <br />VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT <br />In response to a question from the news media whether the City <br />has seen an increase in the parking spaces filed in the parking <br />garages after the implementation of on -street parking violation <br />enforcement by Parking Properties, Ms. Katherine Humphreys, <br />Director, Administration and Finance , advised that the City has <br />not noticed any increase at this time. Ms. Humphreys noted that <br />typically the summer months are a slower time for the parking <br />garages and it is expected that this fall will show an increase <br />in the number of spaces utilized. Ms. Humphreys also stated that <br />a lot of parking violation tickets have been issued in the <br />downtown area and a lot of those tickets have been been paid. <br />1 <br />Ij <br />Ll <br />
